How to set up motion detection recording?

Motion detection recording means NVR will record automatically when it is triggered by movement.

The DVR needs an internal hard disk drive for recording. Without a hard drive, the system can show live viewing, but can’t record, or playback either.

Go to record set up--record plan:

1. Select the channel first.
2. Select weekday
3. Tick motion option.

4. Click apply.

How to set up Email alerts?

It’s better to use Gmail, not Yahoo or Hotmail.

1. Connect NVR to router by Ethernet cable.
   PAY ATTENTION: there are 4 Ethernet ports at the back of NVR which include 3 LAN ports and 1 WAN port. Please use the WAN port to connect the router, not the LAN port.

2. Check P2P status and make sure it is online.

   

3. Go to Motion detection set up. Enable it and tick the Email motion option.

   

4. Please log in to your Gmail account.

   

5. Please enable IMAP.

   

   

6. Please open the website below http://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps 

7. Please tick turn on.

   

8. Please set up email in the VR setting like the picture below. If the ail test succeeds, it is working.
