Follow safety steps in the manual for positioning and ventilation.
What should I do if the beurer Nebuliser IH 21 produces little or no mist?","First check the medicine container and nozzle are assembled correctly and not blocked; clean or replace the atomiser parts. Ensure the air tubing is securely connected and the compressor switch is on. Replace the air filter if clogged (remove cap and inspect). Use only recommended medications and correct liquid volumes; very viscous solutions can reduce aerosol output. If problem persists, consult the manual or contact Beurer support for service.
Can I use the beurer Nebuliser IH 21 with saline, prescribed drugs, or over‑the‑counter solutions?","The IH 21 is designed for inhalation therapy with saline and physician‑prescribed nebuliser medications; always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions. Some over‑the‑counter solutions are compatible, but check ingredients and particle size suitability with your clinician. Do not use oil‑based or thick liquids and avoid unapproved mixtures—using inappropriate fluids can damage the jet nebuliser and impair therapeutic efficiency.
How can I optimise the beurer Nebuliser IH 21 performance for faster, more effective treatments?","Use the correct mask or mouthpiece for age and fit it snugly to reduce leakage. Use the recommended medicine concentration and correct fill volume to match the stated nebulisation rate (approx. 0.2–0.3 ml/min). Keep tubing straight and unobstructed, replace clogged filters, and clean the atomiser after each session. Performing treatments in an upright position and breathing slowly maximises lower‑airway deposition and shortens inhalation time.
What routine maintenance and cleaning does the beurer Nebuliser IH 21 require?","After each use, disassemble atomiser parts and wash with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and air‑dry; disinfect daily or after the last use of the day according to the manual (boiling or chemical disinfectant as specified). Replace disposable filters periodically and never share mouthpieces or masks between users. Regular cleaning prevents blockages, maintains performance and reduces infection risk—refer to the manual for exact disinfection methods and intervals.
Which parts of the beurer Nebuliser IH 21 are replaceable and where can I get spares?","Common replaceable parts include the atomiser/nozzle assembly, masks (adult/child), mouthpiece, nosepiece, air tubing and the air intake filter. Use only Beurer‑approved accessories to ensure correct fit and therapeutic efficiency. Purchase genuine spare parts from authorised Beurer dealers, the manufacturer’s website or authorised medical suppliers; check the manual for part numbers and compatibility.
Why does my beurer Nebuliser IH 21 make unusual noise or vibrate excessively during use?","Some compressor sound is normal, but increased noise or vibration can indicate a misassembled atomiser, loose tubing, worn internal parts or a blocked filter. Turn off and unplug the unit, inspect that the atomiser is seated correctly and tubing is secure. Clean or replace the air filter and atomiser components. If abnormal noise continues, stop using the device and contact Beurer service—continued use with internal faults may reduce performance or cause damage.
Is the beurer Nebuliser IH 21 suitable for children and how should I adjust use for paediatric treatments?","Yes—the IH 21 includes a children’s mask and nosepiece for paediatric use; select the child mask for a secure fit to limit leakage and ensure effective dosing.
