Assembling the Booster Seat

1. Remove BubbleBum from Bag.
2. Remove the purple snap straps and discard.
3. Locate air valve at rear of seat (See Page 4 Diagram 3).
4. Twist air valve to open.
5. Blow into air valve until seat reaches full capacity or until it is not possible to inflate further by mouth. Do not use any other mechanism to inflate.

6. Twist air valve to close tightly.

   

7. Position BubbleBum on seat.
8. Position Child on BubbleBum seat.
9. Pass the lap section of the seat belt through BOTH red clips located on either side of the BubbleBum.
10. Seat belt should sit firmly against the child and the lap straps worn low down across the child's lap. Ensure straps are not twisted. For correct positioning of seat belt.
11. Buckle Seat Belt.
12. To store, remove from car, open air valve and roll the BubbleBum to expel air. Close the air valve when deflated to prevent the seat from further inflating. Store in bag provided in a cool place and out of the reach of children under the age of 3.

• BubbleBum should only be used when inflated and should be replaced if damaged or involved in an accident.
• Do not make any alterations or attachments to your BubbleBum and follow instructions carefully.
• Never leave your child unattended in any child restraint.

To use this BubbleBum Booster Seat your child MUST meet ALL of the following requirements (approximately 4 to 10 years old):

• Weigh between 40 and 100 lbs (mass between 18 and 45 kg), and
• Are between 40 and 52 inches (101 and 145 cm) in height, and
• The shoulder belt MUST lay across the child's shoulder in the red zone as shown in Diagram 2, and the lap portion is positioned low on the child's lap through BOTH red positioning clips, and

• When seated on the BubbleBum booster seat, your child's ears are below the top of the vehicle seat/headrest when seated in the BubbleBum Booster.

  

Vehicle Seat Location Requirements

WARNING

IMPROPER PLACEMENT OF THE BOOSTER SEAT INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. Some seating positions in your vehicle may NOT be safe for this booster seat. Some vehicles do not have any seating positions that can be used safely with the booster seat. If you are not sure where to place the booster seat in your vehicle, consult your vehicle's manual.

Children are safer when properly restrained in rear vehicle seating positions. Never use the booster seat with only a vehicle lap belt.

The vehicle seat MUST face forward.

Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements

WARNING

MANY SEAT BELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFE TO USE WITH THE BOOSTER SEAT. Pay careful attention to these systems: some of the seat belts that are NOT safe to use look very much like seat belts that are safe to use.

SAFE Vehicle Seat Belt System

ONLY A LAP/SHOULDER BELT SYSTEM CAN BE USED WITH THIS BOOSTER SEAT, IF the seat location meets all other requirements of these instructions and those in your vehicle owner's manual.

UNSAFE Vehicle Seat Belt System

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING VEHICLE BELT SYSTEMS:

• NEVER use a lap-only belt.
• NEVER use a Passive Restraint - Lap or Shoulder Belt Mounted on Door.
• NEVER use a Passive Restraint - Lap Belt with Motorized Shoulder Belt.

• NEVER use vehicle belts that are attached to the door in any way or that move along a track to automatically surround the passenger when the door is closed.

  

Using Your BubbleBum Booster Seat

WARNING

FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE YOUR CHILD AND THE BOOSTER SEAT IN YOUR VEHICLE INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OF A SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.

• WARNING: Use only the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the child in this booster seat. SEE PICTURE 1.

• NEVER use a vehicle lap-only belt across front of child. SEE PICTURE 2.

  

• Vehicle belts MUST lay flat against the child and MUST not be twisted. DO NOT use the shoulder belt loose or positioned under the child's arm. See Picture 3.
• DO NOT position the vehicle belt over the top of the red seat belt positioning clips 4. It MUST pass through BOTH red positioning clips.
• Make sure the vehicle belt is NOT twisted. The lap portion of the lap/shoulder belt MUST be low and snug on the hips, just touching the thighs. DO NOT allow the child to slide down in the booster seat. See Picture 5.

• If the child will not keep the vehicle restraint properly positioned, DO NOT use this booster seat. Use a different child restraint system.

  

Additional Information

Airplane Use

The restraint is not certified for aircraft use because there are no shoulder belts available in an aircraft. This product is not FAA approved.

Setup Guide

Setting up the BubbleBum Booster Seat BB0004US Inflatable Car is easy and straightforward. Simply follow these steps:

1. Unfold the seat and remove the cover
2. Inflate the seat using the mouthpiece or an electric pump if available
3. Replace the cover and secure it with the velcro straps
4. Position the booster seat on the vehicle seat
5. Place the shoulder belt over the child's shoulder and secure the lap belt across their hips
6. Adjust the belt positioning clip and shoulder belt guide for a proper seat belt fit

BubbleBum Booster Seat Care and Maintenance

CONTINUOUS USE OF BOOSTER SEAT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT. A booster seat mat, towel, or thin blanket may be used to protect upholstery.

METAL AND PLASTIC PARTS: This restraint is designed with metal and plastic parts that may be damaged if machine washed. Surface clean only with mild soap and cool water. No bleach or detergents.

Securing Child in Vehicle with Shoulder Belt Positioning Clip

The shoulder belt MUST lay across the child's shoulder in the red zone as shown. If the shoulder belt lays outside this zone, the shoulder belt positioning clip MUST be used.

• To Attach Clip to Booster Seat

  • Insert the loop end of the strap around the middle of the strap on the underside of the BubbleBum as shown in Diagram 1.

    

  • Pass the clip and strap through the loop end as shown in Diagram 2 and pull the strap as shown in Diagram 3.

    

• Rear View of Child Sitting in Seat

  • Slide the vehicle shoulder belt onto the clip as shown in Diagram 4 and pull down to tighten the clip against the child's shoulder. The lap belt portion MUST pass through both red side clips and be positioned low on the hips. The belt MUST NOT be twisted.

• NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILD UNATTENDED.
