Description

Strong and adaptable, the Douk Audio U2 Pro Mini Converter DSD256 to Coaxial Optical Converter is a headphone amplifier and DAC. It is convenient to carry with you wherever you go due to its compact size and lightweight construction. The robust aluminum alloy shell of the U2 Pro is both fashionable and long-lasting. A volume knob, a power indicator, and two headphone amplifier outputs are included on the front panel. USB, coaxial, and optical connectors are among the digital and analog inputs and outputs included on the rear panel.

How to use

  1. Connect U2/U2 PRO to the USB port of the computer with a USB cable, and the computer USB port can be used for power supply, for U2 pro version you also can use external DC 5V power interface.
  2. After connecting to the computer, the computer will prompt that the USB device has been found, and then please install the driver of this device: XMOS-Stereo-USB-Audio-Class2-Driver-3004_v4.13.0.exe, please choose different versions of drivers according to the computer system.
  3. After installing the driver, the computer will prompt and display the device "XMOS XS1-U8 DJ" in the device manager.

How to play DSD music

Warm tip: 1.3.8 version FOOBAR player is recommended, the player settings of differnt version players will be a little different.

  1. Install the ASIOProxyInstall-0.7.1.2.exe program in the foobar components file, and follow the prompts to complete.
  2. Install the sacd plug-in and ASIO plug-in, as shown below: (The plug-in is in the foobar components file )

  3. Click “Output” on the left side and then select “ASIO:foo_dsd_asio” on the right side as the following picture shows:

  4. Click “Output” --- “ASIO” on the left side, and then double click “foo_dsd_asio” just as the following picture shows:

    After double click “foo_dsd_asio”, the following menu will appear and please set as it indicates,(Note: must set as the following picture if want coaxial and optical to output DSD.)

  5. Click the left side “tools” -- “SACD”, and then select “DSD” in ASIO Drive Mode, and then click “Apply” to finish the settings.

Warm tips

  1. Play DSD music need to set the volume of computer/mobile phone to maximum (100), or else there will be no sound output.
  2. For U2 PRO, 12S output supports all sampling rate while S/PDIF supports 192KHz and DOP DSD64 at highest.
  3. For U2 PRO, the pins of 12S is suitable for the HDMI interface of PS decoders.
  4. For U2 PRO, play DSD256 music need to install native driver, please install from the CD driver or download from the website.

  1. Use an optical, coaxial, or USB connection to connect the U2 Pro to your computer or other audio source.

  3. In general, USB input default supports Android 5.0 system while Android 4.2 and above need phones with OTG function. Recommend to use Hiby player to play DSD music. OTG cable (for Android system) or camera kit (for IOS system) need to be prepared by yourself.
