Faqs

How can I restore the factory settings of the iBall Wi-Fi Wireless Repeater iB-WRR312N?

Once the POWER LED has turned on completely, push and hold the repeater's RESET button for eight seconds before letting go. The repeater will return to factory settings once the POWER LED becomes solid once more.

Why does it not function when I push the RESET button?

After turning on the device, make sure you are holding down the RESET button for eight seconds.

Why is my router/modem's Wi-Fi network not detected by the iBall Wi-Fi Wireless Repeater iB-WRR312N?

WEP or WPA/WPA (Enterprise) encryption options are available for the router. Switch the router's encryption type to WPA-PSK and attempt scanning once more.

Why am I unable to access the iBall Wi-Fi Wireless Repeater iB-WRR312N website?

Make that the IP address (192.168.1.254) you supplied is accurate and that you are connected to the correct SSID of the repeater. Try restarting your device, clearing the cache, or closing the browser if the problems continue.

Why can I locate the WiFi network of someone else but not mine?

Because the signal may be weak, see if your mobile device can connect wirelessly to the repeater at the same location. Additionally, see if the wireless network is hidden or if the uplink router is using WEP encryption.

Why does it constantly report a failure when you want to extend?

Move the repeater closer to the router, make sure the encryption mode is not WEP, and make sure the router's and the repeater's SSIDs are combinations of letters and numbers. Additionally, make sure the uplink wireless network is not hidden or switched off.

If the extension is effective, how will I know?

Verify whether the wireless signal indicator is on or flashing, and whether the default SSID has disappeared. To find out if the iBall Wi-Fi Wireless Repeater iB-WRR312N is in the extended mode, you can also sign in to its website.

Why does the extension result in no Internet access?

Check the Web page and indication to make sure the extension worked. After disconnecting and reconnecting the device, make sure the signal strength of the repeater is between 40% and 50%.

After a successful extension, why does the repeater display a single frequency extended state?

It's possible that the signal is obscured. Verify that WPA, WPA2, or a combination of the aforementioned encryption modes is selected, and see if the signal channel has changed.

Why does the signal strength of the iBall Wi-Fi Wireless Repeater iB-WRR312N network appear robust, but the speed drops after an extension?

Make that the antennae of the repeater are parallel to those of the router and that it is positioned correctly. Reset the repeater and try connecting again if the problems continue.
