Setup: Roguefitness Echo Bike V3.0 Instruction Manual
Content
Overview
The Echo Bike V3.0 is a heavy-duty air-resistance exercise bike designed for conditioning, interval training, warmups, and low-impact cardio. Its fan creates progressively higher resistance as you pedal harder, while the moving handlebars allow the upper and lower body to work together.
This model suits home gyms, strength-and-conditioning facilities, and users who want a durable cardio machine with a simple console and adjustable riding position. The steel frame, belt-driven fan, rubber-grip handles, metal pedals, and leveling feet are built for demanding training sessions.

Detailed Description
The main frame supports the fan, crank system, seat, console mount, handlebars, and stabilizing feet. The belt-driven fan provides smooth operation and avoids the need for a conventional chain. Because resistance comes from moving air, the effort increases naturally when you pedal faster or push and pull the handles more forcefully.
The console mounting arm carries the connection between the display and the wiring that rises from the wheel fork. The LCD console provides workout feedback through configurable training modes and can communicate with compatible Bluetooth or ANT+ accessories.
The left and right handle assemblies attach to the main frame spindle and move with the pedal stroke. Each handle must sit fully on the axle, with its alignment slot matched to the white reference line on the spindle. Foot peg assemblies provide an alternative position when training with the legs only.
The adjustable seat lets riders set both height and reach. Proper adjustment should place the rider in a stable position with a slight bend remaining in the knee when the pedal is at its lowest point.

Safety
Exercise equipment can cause serious injury when used incorrectly. Read the assembly and operating instructions before training, use sound judgment, and select exercises that match your ability and physical limitations.
- Use the bike only when you understand the correct movement and controls.
- Keep children and unqualified users away from the equipment during assembly and operation.
- Inspect the pedals, handles, fasteners, feet, and frame before each session.
- Stop exercising if you experience pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, or loss of control.
- Do not use the machine if any component is loose, damaged, or improperly installed.
- Keep hands, clothing, and other objects clear of the fan and moving parts.
- Use the foot pegs only after confirming that the assemblies are secured.
- The owner accepts responsibility for correct use, suitable instruction, and safe training practices.
Setup and Assembly
1. Remove the shipping support
Use the supplied screwdriver to remove the shipping support tube from the frame. The tube and its hardware are used only for shipping and may be discarded after removal.
2. Install the base feet
Attach the front and rear base feet to the main frame. Use the M8 x 20 mm button-head screws with M8 spring washers and flat washers. Check the logo orientation on both feet before tightening the hardware.
3. Install the pedals
Fit the right and left pedals to the crank arms. The right pedal tightens clockwise. The left pedal uses a reverse thread and tightens counter-clockwise. Start each pedal by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten it securely.
4. Mount the console arm
Connect the cable from the bottom of the console mounting arm to the cable extending upward from the wheel fork. Handle the connectors carefully so the cable is not pulled through the arm.
Attach the console mounting arm to the wheel fork with two M8 x 20 mm button-head screws, spring washers, and arc washers. While tightening, gently pull the cable upward from the top of the arm so it does not become pinched between the arm and the fork.
5. Install the console
Connect the cable at the top of the mounting arm to the cable from the console. Feed excess wire back into the arm so it cannot be trapped between the console and its mount.
Secure the console to the mounting arm with the four pre-installed M5 x 10 mm pan-head screws on the back of the display. Tighten them evenly without overtightening. Open the battery compartment and install the four included AA batteries in the indicated direction.
6. Fit the handle assemblies
Slide the left and right handle assemblies onto the main frame spindle. Align the slot in each assembly with the white line on the spindle, and verify that each handle socket is fully seated on its axle.
7. Install the foot pegs and secure the handles
Remove each foot peg cap before fitting the foot peg assemblies to the frame. Install the handle assembly screws from front to back.
Secure both handles with the M8 x 50 mm screws, M8 spring washers, and M8 flange nuts. Tighten the fasteners until the handles have no side-to-side play, but do not damage the hardware by excessive force.
Before the first workout
- Confirm that all frame and base hardware is tight.
- Check that both pedals are fully threaded and secure.
- Verify that the console cables are connected and not pinched.
- Make sure the handles are fully seated and free of looseness.
- Place the bike on a stable, level surface and adjust the feet if needed.
- Set the seat height and fore-aft position before beginning a hard interval.
Operation
Begin with a light pace to confirm that the pedals, handles, seat, and console operate correctly. Pedaling faster increases fan resistance, while coordinated pushing and pulling adds upper-body work. For leg-focused training, place the feet on the foot pegs when the bike is stationary and use the pedals only as directed by your training plan.
Use the console to select the available workout format and monitor performance information. Bluetooth and ANT+ compatibility allow the console to work with compatible accessories, such as an external heart-rate transmitter. Replace the AA batteries when the display becomes faint, intermittent, or fails to power on.
Troubleshooting
- Console does not turn on: Check that all four AA batteries are installed with the correct polarity and replace them if necessary. Confirm that the console cable is fully connected.
- Console cable is difficult to connect: Do not force the connector. Check its alignment and inspect the wire for pinching near the console arm.
- Handles feel loose: Confirm that both handle sockets are fully seated on the axles, that the alignment slots match the spindle reference lines, and that the M8 x 50 mm screws and flange nuts are tightened.
- Pedal will not tighten: Confirm that the pedal is installed on the correct side. The left pedal uses a counter-clockwise tightening direction.
- Bike rocks during use: Move the bike to a level surface and adjust the rubber leveling feet. Recheck the base-foot hardware.
- Unusual movement or noise: Stop using the bike and inspect the pedals, handles, fasteners, frame, and fan area before continuing.
Pros & Cons
- Pros: Progressive air resistance, durable steel construction, moving handlebars for full-body training, adjustable seat, included batteries and assembly tools, and Bluetooth/ANT+ console compatibility.
- Cons: The machine has a substantial 123 lb weight and a large footprint, while fan resistance becomes demanding quickly during high-effort intervals.
