Introduction
The USB 3.0 hub uses Silicon Motion's SM768 USB display / docking station SoC, which can work with 2 up to 4K UHD+ 1080P monitors through USB port. It's perfect for laptops to extend 2 external monitors in MST mode on macOS, Intel or Apple Silicon M1/M2 MacBook devices.
NOTE: Before using the HDMI function,the driver needs to be installed manually. You can download the driver here: www.siliconmotion.com/downloads/

How to install/uninstall the driver

MacOS
- Double click the InstantView.dmg
Drag “macOS InstantView” to Application folder
- Find the “macOS InstantView” in Launchpad and open it.
Using the “macOS InstantView” app for the first time and it will ask for the permission of Screen Recording.
- When you Click the Open System Preferences and find there is no tip, please follow those steps:
- Operate Apple System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording.
- Then Click the lock to make changes
- Input the Password or Use the fingerprint to enter
- Tick the “macOSInstantView.app”
- After installing the app, the menu bar will show an icon . Right Click it , there are some quick-setting menus, including the “Removing application”option. You can uninstall the driver via the option above when you don’t need it anymore.
Windows
- Extract the downloaded file , double click the software package. then follow the setup and complete the installation.
After installing the driver, you can extend 2 monitors.
- You can uninstall it by clicking “Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Silicon Motion USB Display Driver > Uninstall.
How to set up resolution and display mode
MacOS (Monterey): System Preferences > Displays > Display Settings.
- Then you ncan change the display mode in “Use as” menu and will set up these setting like: Resolution/ColorProfile / Refresh Rate and Rotation.
Windows(Windows11): Start>System>Display
- Set the Display mode, Resolution, Color Profile, Orientation and Refresh Rate in Advanced display.
