How to Use the Hair Straightener

1. Insert the plug of the hair straightener into the electric socket and turn it on.
2. To turn on the hair straightener, slide the ON/OFF switch towards the ON position for models having the slide switch feature and press the ON/OFF button for models having the ON/OFF press button feature.
3. The power indicator light will illuminate to indicate the appliance is heating up, except in models having a digital display.
4. Allow the hair straightener to heat up for approximately 60-120 seconds.
5. Choose the right temperature as per your hair type. This feature is not applicable to hair straightener models having one heat setting:
   • 150°C-170°C: Recommended for thin hair
   • 170°C-190°C: Recommended for normal hair
   • 190°C-230°C: Recommended for thick or wavy hair
6. Correctly use the appliance by holding it by the handle when styling.
7. Brush the hair with a Vega hairbrush and divide them into sections about 2 inches wide with a Vega tail comb.
8. Insert a two-inch section of hair between the plates, then close the plates, and glide slowly through the hair from the roots to the ends.
9. After one section is straightened, move to the next section and repeat the process until all the hair is straightened.
10. Upon completion, turn off the appliance, slide the ON/OFF switch towards the OFF position for models having the slide switch feature, and press the ON/OFF button for models having the ON/OFF press button feature.
11. Unplug the cord and allow the hair straightener to cool down completely before storing.
12. The easy lock system helps to lock the hair straightener and keeps it safe. This feature is only applicable for models having a lock system.

  • Insert a 2-inch section of hair between the plates, then gently close the plates, and glide slowly through the hair beginning at the roots, slightly flipping in at the ends.

NOTE: ALWAYS ENSURE TO PRACTICE THE ABOVE STYLING TIPS WHILE STANDING AND LOOKING AT THE MIRROR AND WITHOUT INSERTING THE HAIR STRAIGHTENER PLUG INTO THE ELECTRIC SOCKET AND IN POWER OFF MODE.

1. Plug in the hair straightener and wait for it to heat up. 
2. Adjust the temperature setting based on your hair type.

Maintenance and Care

1. Always ensure to clean the appliance only after it has cooled down and the plug is removed from the electric socket.
2. To clean the appliance, use a soft and clean damp cloth.
3. Never use any chemical or alcohol, thinner, benzene, or remover to clean the appliance.
4. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid to clean.

Troubleshooting

Here are some common problems and solutions when using the Vega Flat Hair Straightener VHSH-18: 

• Problem: The hair straightener is not heating up. 
  Solution: Make sure it is properly plugged in and the power switch is turned on. Wait for a few minutes for it to heat up. 
• Problem: The hair straightener is pulling or tugging on my hair.

Warranty

Vega Industries Private Limited, hereafter referred to as VEGA, offers a warranty only on its personal care appliances (VEGA Hair Straightener, Vega Hair Dryer, and Vega Hair Curler only) against any manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase of the appliance. This non-transferable warranty is only for the first end user on purchase.
