Content
Overview
The DCPF97GP Rechargeable Handheld Fan is a compact personal cooling device for domestic household use. Its rechargeable battery, 100 selectable speed levels, cooling plate, display, and hanging hook make it suitable for handheld use or convenient placement during warm conditions.
The fan provides adjustable airflow and a separate cooling function. Runtime depends on the selected speed, whether cooling is active, and the surrounding environment.

Detailed Description
The DCPF97GP combines a small fan blade assembly with a front cooling plate. The fan blade produces the airflow, while the cooling function activates the cooling plate for an additional cooling effect. Fan speed can be selected through preset levels or adjusted more precisely across the full 01–100 range.
The main components include the cooling plate, display, power button, cooling button, fan blade, USB Type-C charging port, power switch, and hanging hook. The side power switch controls the unit’s main electrical state, while the buttons manage fan speed, cooling, and battery information.
Safety
- Read and retain the instructions before using the fan.
- Do not use the fan in a bathroom or near a bath, shower, swimming pool, or other water source.
- Keep the appliance and USB cable away from liquids. Never immerse either part in water or another liquid.
- Inspect the fan and USB cable before use. Do not operate the unit if either is damaged, frayed, or cut.
- Use the supplied USB cable and a suitable USB power source. A 5V/2A adapter is recommended.
- Do not cover the fan while it is operating, as restricted airflow may cause overheating or motor damage.
- Never insert objects into the air intake, exhaust, or ventilation openings.
- Do not leave the fan unattended while it is running.
- Keep the fan away from naked flames, fire risks, flammable substances, and vapours such as alcohol, petrol, or insecticides.
- Do not use the unit outdoors where it may be exposed to weather, on a slope or unstable surface, or where falling water or chemicals could damage it.
- Keep the appliance away from small children unless they are supervised or have received suitable instructions.
- Do not use extension leads or power boards with this appliance.
- Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt a DIY repair. Repairs must be performed by a qualified electrical specialist.
- Switch the fan off whenever it is not in use.
Setup and Operation
Charging the Battery
- Insert the USB Type-C cable into the charging port on the back of the fan.
- Connect the other end to a computer, laptop, USB power adapter, or another suitable USB power source.
- During charging, the charging indicator flashes green and the display shows the battery percentage.
- When charging is complete, the lighting symbol turns off and the display shows 100%.
The supplied manual recommends a 5V/2A adapter. An adapter is not included. The fan may be used while charging, but operation is limited to speed level 01 and the cooling function is unavailable.
Power Switch
Slide the power switch to the right to turn the unit on. Slide it to the left to turn the unit off. When the side switch is moved to the off position, the display shows the battery level for approximately two seconds.
Fan Speed Control
With the side switch on, press the power button once to start the fan at level 01. Repeated short presses cycle through the preset sequence:
01 → 25 → 50 → 75 → 100 → OFF
After the fan starts, press and hold the power button to increase the speed continuously from the current level toward 100. Release the button when the desired speed is displayed. A long press adjusts the speed but does not switch the fan off.
If continuous adjustment stops between preset levels, the next short press advances to the next preset level. For example, stopping at level 15 advances to level 25 with the next short press.
Switching the Fan Off
The fan switches off through a short press only. Continue pressing until level 100 appears, then press once more to turn the fan off. You can also hold the power button until level 100, release it, and then press the button once.
Cooling Function
The fan must be running before the cooling function can be activated. Press the cooling button once to turn cooling on. The snowflake symbol remains illuminated while cooling is active. Press the button again to turn cooling off.
When the fan is on, pressing and holding the cooling button progressively reduces the fan speed to level 01. This function has no effect when the fan is off or already at level 01.
Double-press the cooling button to display the current battery percentage. This battery-check function works only when both the side switch and fan are on.
Display Indicators
- Battery percentage: Shows the remaining battery level.
- Flashing battery digits: Indicates a low battery at 5% or below.
- Fan symbol: Remains lit while the fan is operating.
- Speed number: Displays the current level from 01 to 100.
- Snowflake symbol: Indicates that the cooling function is active.
- Flashing green charging indicator: Shows that the battery is charging.
- Charging and operating: The display shows charging status while the fan is connected to power.
Automatic Shut-Off
The fan automatically turns off after 10 hours of continuous operation. Changing the speed does not restart this timer. Turning the fan off and on again begins a new 10-hour operating period.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Turn the fan off before cleaning.
- Disconnect the USB cable before handling or cleaning the appliance.
- Keep liquids away from the fan, USB cable, controls, charging port, and display.
- Do not operate the fan with a cover over it.
- Stop using the unit if it becomes damaged or fails to operate efficiently.
Troubleshooting
The Fan Does Not Start
- Confirm that the side power switch is in the ON position.
- Check the battery display and recharge the unit if the battery level is low.
- When charging, remember that the fan starts only at level 01 and long-press speed control is disabled.
The Cooling Function Does Not Operate
- Start the fan before pressing the cooling button.
- Do not expect cooling to operate while the unit is charging.
- Check that the snowflake symbol appears after pressing the cooling button.
The Fan Stops Automatically
The automatic 10-hour shut-off may have been reached. Turn the fan off and on again to restart the operating cycle.
The Unit Is Damaged or Operates Abnormally
Disconnect the USB cable, stop using the fan, and arrange professional service. Do not open the housing or attempt to replace internal parts.
Battery Disposal and Recycling
The DCPF97GP contains a built-in lithium-ion battery that is not user-replaceable. Do not attempt to open the appliance or remove the battery yourself, particularly if the battery is leaking.
At the end of the product’s service life, take the fan to an appropriate electrical recycling facility. The internal battery should be removed by a qualified professional and recycled separately. Do not dispose of the fan with unsorted household waste.
