Troubleshooting

  • Eggs are overcooked: Have you used medium or small eggs?  This product works best with large eggs. Follow water recommendation for one less egg than what you are cooking.
  • Eggs are undercooked
    • Not enough water was in Water Reservoir. Add additional water.
    • Did you use extra large or jumbo eggs? This product works best with large eggs.
  • Eggs are slightly brown on shell after cooking: Different types of water may discolor egg shells. Eggs are safe to eat.
  • Eggs are difficult to peel: Very fresh eggs can be difficult to peel. It is easiest to peel eggs that have been refrigerated 1 week to 10 days. To peel an egg, crackle shell all over by gently tapping egg on a table or countertop. Roll egg between your hands to loosen shell. Then peel off shell, starting at large end. Hold egg under running water or dip it in water to make peeling easier.
