• Refrigerator should be located in properly ventilated area.

  

• Levelling of refrigerator should be done with front leg. Refrigerator should be levelled with front to back inclination for base.

  

• Do not install refrigerator where the front surface area is higher than back surface area by 2 deg.

Features of LG GL-292/302/322

Smart Connect Features(optional)

Minimum Requirement: UPS / Inverter should be in ON condition having minimum 600 VA capacity along with minimum 120Ah capacity battery connected with the refrigerator's power supply socket.

1. While using this feature, the refrigerator will work on basic energy requirement as required by the product.
2. The results of the Smart connect feature may vary depending on the number of appliances that are running on inverter.
3. For optimum running of refrigerator during Smart Connect Mode, it is recommended to switch off the other appliances which are not in use.
4. It is recommended to confirm the quality of food items before consumption.
5. Ice cream etc. may get soften during the use of this feature. If situation arises so, it is recommended to change the setting as per one's choice.

Deodorizer

• By using a catalyst, deodorizing performance is guaranteed.
• Unpleasant odor of food in fresh food compartment is deodorized with no harm to you and the food.

How to use

• As Deodorizer is located in cooling air path for circulating air in fresh food compartment, there is no need for any handling.
• Do not prick the cooling air inlet with a sharp tip because Deodorizer may be damaged.
• When storing food with a strong odor, wrap it or store it in a container with a lid because odor may be passed on to other foods.

Re-Using of Deodorizer

• Keep distance as odor is strong, Deodorizer can be revived and re-used.
• Separate Deodorizer from refrigerator compartment and use hair dryer to remove moisture or odor & oxidize under sunlight to decompose odor by ultraviolet rays.

OPERATIONS regarding GL-292/302/322

Starting

• When your refrigerator is firstly installed, allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize prior to filling it with fresh or frozen foods.
• Initially set the Refrigerator Temperature Control Normal and the Freezer Temperature Control at Normal.
• Leave it operating for 8 hours to stabilize.

Operating Procedure

DEFROSTING
• Defrosting takes place automatically.
• The defrosted water flows down to the evaporating tray which is located in the lower back side of the refrigerator and is evaporated automatically.

Identification of Control

TEMPERATURE CONTROL (With Knob)

• Refrigerator and Freezer Compartment Temperature is controlled by Refrigerator Temperature Control Knob and Freezer Control Knob respectively.
• Initially set the Refrigerator Temperature Control Normal and the Freezer Temperature Control at Normal.
• Leave it operating for 8 hours to stabilize.

Suggestions on Food Storage

• When storing the food, cover it with vinyl wrap or store in a container with a lid. This prevents moisture from evaporating and helps food to keep its taste and nutrients.
• Don't keep hot milk or hot food in your refrigerator. This will result in an increased temperature and increase in power consumption.
• Never overload your refrigerator or cover the shelves with paper or plastic sheets as it will reduce its efficiency.
• Do not open the door frequently. Opening the door lets warm air enter the refrigerator, and cause temperature to rise.
• Close the door properly, make sure that there is no gap between the gasket and the cabinet of your LG refrigerator.
• Wipe excessive moisture on food or place it inside containers or plastic bags. This will help in retaining its freshness for a longer period of time.
• Do not store food which goes bad easily at low temperatures. Such as bananas, pineapples, etc.
• Do not store glass bottles in the freezer compartment - they may break when frozen.
• Avoid placing moist food on deep interior refrigerator shelves. It could freeze upon direct contact with chilled air. To avoid this it is better to store food in the covered container.
• It is desirable to store moist food (especially vegetable and fruit) in the vegetable storage compartment. If it is necessary to store on a shelf of the refrigerator, put it close to the door away from the back wall of the refrigerator to avoid being frozen by the cool circulating in the refrigerator.
• When storing eggs in their storage tray, ensure that they are fresh, and always store them in a upright position, which keeps them fresh longer.
• Feel free to call your LG Customer Information Centre (CIC) / Branch / LG Representative in case your refrigerator has suffered a damage in transit.
• It is recommended to use Voltage Stabilizer (0.5kVA) if power fluctuations are frequent and out of specified voltage range (100-290V/135-290V)**, Stabilizer usage increases the refrigerator life.

SMART DIAGNOSIS

Use the function to contact the service center and receive precise diagnosis when the refrigerator malfunctions or fails. Use it only to connect to the consultant and do not use it in normal times.

How to use the function

First, call to the LG service center. Only use the Smart Diagnosis feature when instructed to do so by the LG call center agent.

1. Open all the doors of the refrigerator.
   • SDS can be input even Test Mode and Error status.

   • Model with Knob: Turn knob to Middle notch, to the warm notch, to the cold notch, & middle notch within 3sec and keep that status for 2sec.

     

2. Place the phone near the speaker hole in the top right hand side door hinge
   • Ensure the microphone of the telephone is toward the speaker hole.

3. Do not take away the telephone while data is being transmitted.

   

4. During the data transmission for smart diagnosis, hold the telephone 10cm away from the speaker hole and avoid any background noises.
   CAUTION: The transmission sound may be irritating. Do not take away the telephone until the sound stops.
5. When SDS is input, buzzer let you know by ringing 4times. (Frequency of SDS Buzzer is 2000Hz, 0.2sec Off/ 0.2sec On 4times) 2000Hz, 0.2sec Off/0.2sec On 4times)
6. After inputting SDS, SDS buzzer will ring.
7. After the completion of the data transmission, the consultant will explain the result of the smart diagnosis and advise accordingly.

9* YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY ON COMPRESSOR (Selected Model)
The 9*(Selected Model) year warranty on Compressor will continue even after the expiry of 1 year period from the date of purchase. This warranty covers Compressor only. Gas/Gas Charging will be charged to the customer. Gas charging is included only when compressor is detective & inoperative. During the additional warranty period, it does not cover any part such as condenser, freezer, capillary, suction line, overload protector, relay, thermostat etc.. Standard visiting charges will be applicable within the municipal limit of town where LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. (LGEIL) has it's Authorized Service center, Service outside municipal limit will attract to and fro traveling, other incidental expenses in addition to standard visiting charges, as prevailing from time to time. During the warranty period, only the parts replaced or repaired shall be free of costs, but service charges shall always be payable by the customer.
