HOW TO USE YOUR PRESTIGE INDUCTION COOK-TOP

  1. Please place the Cooktop in a well-ventilated area on a flat platform. Do not place the Induction Cooktop on any metal surface or near a heat or fire source.
  2. Insert the plug into the socket.
  3. Once the mains switch is switched on, a beep sound is heard and all the LEDs on the control panel glow.
  4. Now press the  “ON/OFF” button, “ON” LED glows.
  5. Place the vessel at the center of the glass panel.
  6. Select the required function button as per the cooking requirement. If you hear any noise while using it it, slightly move the vessel so that it lies in the center of the glass panel.

Functions and operating instructions

“ON/OFF” button

  1. Press the “ON/OFF” button to switch on or switch off the Induction Cooktop.
  2. The induction cooktop will switch off automatically upon reaching the mentioned time limit. 

Temperature adjustment

  1. Upon selecting a work function, you can adjust the temperature by pressing the “+”/ “-” button.
  2. The temperature function will not be available in Keep Warm mode.
  3. In the course of heating, the intelligent heating function will automatically control the temperature based on need. 

TIMER” button

  1. When the timer function is not set, the induction cooktop will heat continuously/ as per the preset duration for each mode.
  2. When you need to adjust the timer, press the “TIMER” button. Once the display starts blinking you can adjust/set the timing by pressing the “+” / “-” button.
  3. Once the required time is set, the display will blink for 4 times before becoming stable and the timer will start. The maximum possible time is 180 minutes.
  4. Once the induction cooktop works for the time mentioned, it will stop heating and will switch off automatically.

Cooking Modes

  1. pressure_cook.png Pressure Cook mode: This function can be used for all your pressure cooking needs. The heating power/timer is adjustable in this mode, while the appliance is in operation. It will start default at 1100 watts and can be increased up to 1600 watts. The timer function can be used in this mode. This mode can also be used for all other kinds of cooking. You can increase or decrease the power by using the”+” or “-“ buttons as per your requirement. If the vessel is dried out during operation, the Induction Cooktop will switch off automatically.
  2. curry_mode.png Curry mode : This function is suitable for making curries. You can increase or decrease the power by using the ”+” or “-“ buttons. It will start default at 900 watts and can be increased up to 1300 watts. The timer function can be used in this mode.
  3. dosa.png Dosa/Chapati mode: This mode is specially designed to make dosa, chapati,, and other similar items. The timer cannot be varied in this mode. It will start default at 1100 watts. You can increase or decrease the power by using the ”+” or “-“ buttons as per your requirement. However, the maximum power which can be set in this mode is 1100 watts.  It is recommended to use only this mode while using tawa for making dosa, chapati, and other similar items.
  4. idly.png Idly mode: This mode is suited for making idly and other similar items. The default time set is 10 minutes, however,, you can increase the timer by pressing the “TIMER” button.
  5. df.png Deep Fry mode: Applicable for high-temperature cooking, like frying and deep frying. The temperature is adjustable in this mode, while the appliance is in operation. It will start at a default temperature of 180° centigrade and can be increased up to 240° centigrade. The timer function can be used in this mode.
  6. heat.png Heat Milk mode: This mode is recommended only for heating milk since the Induction Cooktop will warm the milk with small heat power. The default time set is 15 minutes.
  7. keep.png Keep Warm mode: This mode lets you keep the food warm till you need to serve the cooked food, since the Induction Cooktop will warm the food with small heat power, the food will remain fresh for a long time. The default time set is 120 minutes which is adjustable 
  8. saute_mode.png Saute mode: This mode is suitable for all kinds of sauteing. In this mode you can increase or decrease the power by using the ”+” or “-“ buttons according to the food and your desired style of cooking. It will start default at 1100 watts and can be increased up to 1600 watts. The timer function can be used in this mode.

Pause” Mode: Press the “Pause” button to stop a program at any point in time without disturbing the set program/timer. To resume the program, please press the “Pause” button once again.

SELECTION OF VESSELS

The product has the function of automatic vessel detection. In general condition, iron or stainless steel products with magnetic bases and diameter between 12 cm and 26 cm and flat base vessels will have bthe est cooking effect. Prestige recommends using Prestige Omega Deluxe and Omega Die-cast Plus non-stick induction base cookware. The Prestige range of Deluxe Plus Aluminium, Deluxe Plus stainless steel and Nakshatra Plus cookers with induction base will work efficiently with Prestige Induction Cook-tops.

  10. The induction cooktop is provided with an Extended Cooling System for the safety of the components. So, please DO NOT switch off the induction cooktop from the mains till the fan is completely switched off.

  13. Remove the plug from the mains before cleaning and when not in use. Once cooking is completed, allow the appliance to cool down completely before moving it or before cleaning.
