HOW TO USE YOUR WHIRLPOOL MAGICOOL

  • SWITCHING ON/OFF
    To switch on the air conditioner, just press the Power (On/Off) button on the remote or the control panel. To switch off, press the same button again. The moment you switch on the air conditioner, the compressor will start after 3 min. When switched on, the air conditioner would operate in the previous settings (mode of operation), that was there when the air conditioner was switched off lost.
    Note:- Fan will stop after 30 sec, After switch off the AC to balance the refrigerant flow.
  • SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
    You can increase or decrease the temperature of your room to suit your requirements. To increase or decrease the set temperature, press the temperature buttons (Up/Down) respectively. The set temperature is displayed on the control panel, Each operation of these buttons changes the set temperature by a unit °C. Temperature range available is 16°C to 30°C.
  • MODE SELECTION
    By setting the operating mode, you can get the quality/type of cooling that you require. There are five operating modes in your air conditioner. >COOL> DRY > FAN> ENERGY SAVER> 6TH SENSE To change the mode, just press the Mode button on the remote or control panel. Eoch time the button is pressed, the air conditioner will shuffle between the modes. Press the mode button till the indicator of the mode you want glows.
    NOTE: While the 6th SENSE and ENERGY SAVER can directly be switched ON and OFF from the Remote.
  • COOL MODE
    This mode gives you complete control over the cooling in your home. You can change the fan speed as well as the temperature setting to suit your needs. To change the fan speed in this mode, press the Fan Speed button to select any of the 3 fan speed settings. To change the temperature just press the Temperature buttons (Up/Down). The temperature range in this mode con be set between 16°C to 30°C.
  • DRY MODE
    This mode is suitable for Humid conditions, where the moisture content is the main discomfort. This mode allows you to set the temperature as per your needs. The Compressor runs depending on Set temp. & Room temp while fan motor runs on LOW speed to facilitate reduction of humidity levels. The temperature range in this mode can be set between 16°C to 30°C.
    Note: Fan Speed setting cannot be changed in this mode. The Fan will run on Low speed.
  • FAN MODE
    When there is no requirement of cooling in the room, you can still use the air conditioner as a simple fan. In this mode, the compressor is switched off and only the fan is switched on. You can select one of the 3 fan speeds as per your requirements. This way filtered/pure air is circulated through out the room.
    Note: There is no temperature display in this mode.
  • ENERGY SAVER FUNCTION
    This function setting allows you to minimize electricity consumption, hence reducing running costs. This gives you the right balance between comfort and economy. When the room temperature reaches the set temperature, the Compressor cuts off and the fan keep running, Compressor cut in, after room temperature rises above set temperature. So as to give you the right balance between comfort and power cost.
    Note: Fan Speed and temperature setting cannot altered in this function, 25°C is default temperature setting in this mode.
  • 6TH SENSE MODE:
    In this mode, the air conditioner automatically senses the surrounding temperature and adjusts the fan speed to maximize your comfort The fan speed changes from High to Medium to Low as your room gets cooler. The fan Speed setting is automatic, you can change the set temperature by moving the Temperature buttons (Up/Down).
    Note: Fan Speed settings cannot be changed in this mode. The temperature range in this mode is 16°C to 30°C.
  • TURBO FUNCTION:
    This function allows you to cool down the temperature of your room instantly. Press the Turbo button on your remote or air conditioner control panel and the turbo Indicator comes on. Turbo function remains active for 30 minutes, after which it switches over to the previous mode of operation. The default set temperature for this function is 16°C. In case you want to cancel this function before the stipulated 30 minutes, press the same button again or press the Mode or Power Saver button.
    Note: Fan speed and temperature cannot be changed in this mode & fan runs automatically to Highest speed
  • FAN SPEED ADJUSTMENT
    The fan speed in your air conditioner comes with three options. By pressing the Fan Speed button over and over again you can vary the fan speed in the following sequence. > High> Medium> Low
    NOTE: Fan Speed selection is disabled in the 6th Sense, Dry, Turbo & Energy Saver.
  • AIR SWING ON/OFF
    Sometimes you may wish to concentrate the cooling of your air conditioner to one particular area, while sometimes you may wish to spread the cooling over a wide area. You can do this with the help of the Swing button. The Swing indicator on the control panel will tell you whether the Air Swing is on or off. When switched On system's automatic vertical louver swing action is activated. The vertical louvers swing from right to left and bock.
  • SLEEP
    As the night progresses, the temperature drops gradually. Therefore, the room can be uncomfortably cold at night. The special sleep function monitors the temperature and helps maintain the optimum environment for a good night's sleep. The set temperature increases by 1°C after every hour for the first 2 hours and then maintains it at that level Sleep mode can be cancelled by pressing the Sleep button again. sleep mode duration is 8hrs. and after that AC will stop.
    Note: This function can be operated only in the 6th Sense, Cool, Turbo and Energy Saver modes.
  • ON/OFF TIMER
    This feature helps to attain comfortable room temp. at the time you get home or go out. ON timer and OFF timer can't be set simultaneously. if unit is in operation, Timer OFF can be set. If unit is in stand by mode, Timer ON can be set. Range can be set between 1 hr to 24 hrs.
  • SETTING TIMER ON:
    Press timer ON button. Set the timer as per the requirement by pressing temperature up & down button. Again press timer ON button. Timer ON will be set.
  • VENTILATION
    When the Vent is opened, it replaces the stale air from the room with clean, fresh air. To open the ventilation of air conditioner, move the vent lever to the right side. To close, push the same lever to the left side. It is recommended that you keep the exhaust open at regular intervals.
  • SETTING TIMER OFF
    Timer OFF can be set similarly as the timer on is set.

INSTALLING YOUR NEW WHIRLPOOL MAGICOOL

  1. Allow sufficient space on the left hand side of the unit to allow easy removal of filter.
  2. As the unit is heavy, the wall or window of the installation area should have sufficient strength and durability for operation of the air conditioner and for prevention of any vibration or noise. If it is weak, reinforcement work should be performed separately.
  3. It is advisable to install the air-conditioner in a location where direct sunlight does not fall on the unit. However, if at all it is unavoidable, then it is advisable to install the sunshade to prevent direct sunlight.
  4. When installing the air conditioner, ensure that there is sufficient space on the rear side of the unit for smooth flow of air. When operating the air conditioner in closed areas such as inner building with cooling operation, stick to the standards shown in figure. Do not install the AC in the narrow shaft.
  5. Ensure that the cabinet air inlet louvers are not covered due to wall thickness.
    Note: To protect your air conditioner from voltage fluctuation, we recommend the use of a Whirlpool Duromax AC stabilizer.

Use correct Power Supply in accordance with the Rating Plate. All electrical installations must be in accordance with Indian wiring and safety regulations.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the Air Filter

  • Clean the air filter periodically in order to maintain cooling effectiveness and to prolong the life of your air conditioner.
  • For all the models the filter can be taken out from the left side of the front grill. A convenient filter handle has been provided to help you pull it out. To take out the filter from the front panel pull it towards your left.
  • Dust the filter to remove loose dust. Clean with a vacuum cleaner or put under running tap water.
  • Insert the filter back into the normal position.
  • Clean the grill surface with a light detergent and wipe it with a dry cloth.

Note

  1. It is recommended that you clean the filter at least once every two months or after approximately 250 usage hour of the air conditioner.
  2. During the season when you do not use the air conditioner, clean the unit and cover the outdoor side of the unit. But do remember to remove the cover before you use it again.

Under the warranty the customer is warranted that the air conditioner and all parts thereof (except the front grill, knobs, and plastic parts) are free from defects in material and workmen ship under normal use and service. Woil's obligations under this Warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing the replacement of any defective part (except the front grill", knobs and plastic parts) of air conditioner which proves defective within one year from the date of original purchase and which on Woil's examination discloses to its satisfaction to be defective.

Four Year Additional Warranty on Compressor
Under the warranty the customer is warranted that the compressor to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. WOll's obligation under this warranty
