BUILDING PRESSURE

  1. Choose your desired pressure cooking level by pressing the PRESSURE COOK button once for HIGH pressure and twice for LOW pressure.
  2. Set the desired cooking time by using the + or - buttons once for each additional minute or to fast advance, hold the button down until you reach the desired time.
  3. Turn the pressure regulator knob on the lid to the PRESSURE position.
  4. Press the START /STOP button to begin cooking. As the pressure is building, the three lights next to the chosen pressure level will light up one at a time. Once pressure is reached, the lights will all stay lit and the unit will begin counting down the cooking time.

END OF COOKING PROCESS

  • The unit will beep when the cooking time is done and the automatic KEEP WARM function will turn on. The KEEP WARM button will blink until you press the START/STOP button to cancel the program.
  • There are 2 pressure release methods
  1. Quick Release Method: Release the pressure immediately by turning the pressure regulator knob to the STEAM position.
  2. Natural Release Method: Stop the KEEP WARM function and turn the unit off completely. This allows the pressure to drop naturally without turning the pressure regulator knob to STEAM. This will take several minutes, during which the food inside will continue cooking. Some recipes (such as risotto) benefit from this extra cooking time. You will know when the pressure has been fully released because the floating valve will drop and you will be able to open the lid.
