Wearing Your Carrier

1. Put the carrier on before placing your baby in the carrier.  
   With the carrier in front of you, slip the carrier over your head. 
   Buckle the shoulder strap A. Make sure it fastens with an audible click. Repeat on the other side.

   

2. The carrier should be comfortable and snug.  Pull on adjustment strap B to remove slack.

Using the Side-entry Buckle

To fasten the side-entry buckle

1. Holding the buckle handle A parallel to your body, as shown, place it in the holder B and slide it downward. As you slide the handle, it will rotate away from your body. Keep sliding it downward until it locks into position with an audible click. 

   

2. Important: Check that the handle A is locked properly in position by feeling for the handle tip C at the bottom of the holder, as shown. If you can’t feel the tip, push the handle downward until you do.

   

To unfasten the side-entry buckle

1. Sit down before removing the baby from the carrier. 
   Release both head support buckles and fold down the top of the head support.
   With your left arm supporting the baby, grasp the side-entry buckle handle A with your left hand, as shown.

   

2. With your right hand, press the handle to release tab B  and continue to hold it down. With your left hand, lift the buckle handle A upward until it clicks.
   Twist the buckle handle A away from baby in an upward motion until you hear a click. 
   Note: Twist until the handle tongue completely clears the groove C in the holder.
   Slide buckle handles A upward out of the holder.

   

Placing Baby in the Carrier 

Facing Inward

Tip! The hold me close" position, or facing inward, is best for young infants with limited neck control.

1. Sit down. 
   With the unbuckled carrier on your lap, place baby onto the carrier facing you with legs straddling the carrier.
   BE PREPARED FOR THE BABY’S SUDDEN MOVEMENT! 
   While supporting the baby’s head and back, carefully raise the carrier and baby up toward your chest. 

   

2. While supporting the baby, fasten the side-entry buckle A (see page 4). Make sure it fastens with an audible click.

   

3. While supporting the baby,  fasten the head support buckle B to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
   Adjust the headrest as necessary to support the baby’s head. Repeat on the other side.

   

Facing Outward

IMPORTANT: Baby MUST be able to hold up head and neck unassisted (about 4 to 5 months old).

1. Sit down. 
   With an unsnapped/unbuckled carrier on your lap, place baby onto the carrier facing away from you with legs straddling the carrier. 
   BE PREPARED FOR THE BABY’S SUDDEN MOVEMENT! 
   Support the baby’s chest while bringing the carrier up toward the baby’s chest.3

   

2. While supporting the baby, fasten the side-entry buckle A. Make sure it fastens with an audible click. Secure the bib to the Velcro inside carrier B.

   

3. While supporting the baby, fold the head support and bib C down, then fasten the head support buckle D to the shoulder strap. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.  
   Repeat on the other side.

   

4. Make sure baby is comfortable with legs fully through the leg openings E and baby’s arms resting just above the side-entry buckles A. 
   BE SURE THAT ALL BUCKLES AND SNAPS ARE FASTENED  SECURELY.

   

Setup Guide

Setting up the Evenflo Infant Breathable Carrier is easy! Here are the steps to follow:

1. Adjust the waistband and shoulder straps to fit your body.
2. Place the carrier on a flat surface and open the zippered panel.
3. Place your baby in the carrier, ensuring they are in a secure and comfortable position.
4. Close the zippered panel and adjust the straps as needed for a snug and secure fit.
5. Make sure your baby's face is visible and not covered by the fabric.

Care and Maintenance

• Buckle all straps before laundering.
• Hand or machine wash separately in cold water with, a gentle cycle.
• Do not bleach or iron. Line dry.
• PRODUCT STORAGE/LIFETIME: For optimal durability and use of this carrier, the manufacturer recommends storing this product in its original packaging or an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Do not expose the product to the sun or extreme temperatures. Always check the straps, buckles, and fabric condition before use, particularly after any period of extended storage. This product has a useful lifetime of six (6) years from date of manufacture.

Infants can fall through a wide leg opening or out of the carrier.

• Adjust leg openings to fit the baby's legs snugly.
• Before each use, make sure all fasteners are secure.
• Take special care when leaning or walking.
• Never bend at the waist; bend at the knees.
• Only use this carrier for children between 7 lbs and 26 lbs (3.2 kg and 11.8 kg).

SUFFOCATION HAZARD
Infants under four months can suffocate in this product if their face is pressed tight against their bodies.

• Do not strap the infant too tight against your body.
• Allow room for head movement.
• Keep the infant's face free from obstructions at all times.

WARNING  

• NEVER leave a child in a carrier unless being worn by a caregiver. The child may fall, suffocate, or strangle.
• The child must face toward you until he or she can hold head upright.
• Check to ensure all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments are secure before each use.

• Ensure proper placement of a child in the product, including leg placement.
• Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and infants under four months are at the greatest risk of suffocation.
• Never use a soft carrier when balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical conditions.
• Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities such as cooking and cleaning, which involve a heat source or exposure to chemicals.
• Never wear a soft carrier while driving or being a passenger in a motor vehicle.
• Do not place sharp objects in carrier pockets.
• Ensure the child's body parts are clear when closing any fasteners.
