Adjusting the Carrier Straps
Waist Strap
- To tighten the waist strap after fastening, pull the webbing A in the direction of the arrow.
- To loosen the waist strap, grasp the buckle B and pull in the direction of the arrow.
IMPORTANT: To prevent webbing from getting in the way during carrier use, always bundle webbing with the attached band after adjustment.
Shoulder Straps and Shoulder Strap Connector
- To tighten these straps after fastening, pull the webbing A in the direction of the arrow.

Front Carry
Facing Inward
For use with children 7 - 45 lbs (3.2 - 20.3 kg)
The carrier can be adjusted to two seat positions as baby grows.
For small infants who cannot yet sit with hips and legs spread (typically newborn to 30 days), they can sit in the fetal position, as shown.
Always make sure head is supported. Always make sure baby's face is in view-either above the carrier or facing the side (as shown here and not pressed against the body or any part of the carrier.
Once baby can sit with support, use the height adjust snap A to short- en the back support, making it easier to keep baby's face in view while still supporting the head.- With the carrier B hanging in front of you, wrap the waist strap around your waist and fasten the buckle O.
Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
Pull the waist strap webbing D until it is snug, but comfortable. - Sit down.
With the carrier B on your lap, place baby onto carrier facing you with legs straddling your waist.
IMPORTANT: Be prepared for baby's sudden movement! While supporting baby's head and back, carefully raise carrier and baby up toward your chest. While carefully support- ing baby with one hand, place a shoulder strap E over your shoulder.
- While continuing to support your baby, place the other shoulder strap E over your other shoulder.
- Fasten the shoulder strap connector buckle across your shoulders. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
Stand up.
Pull the webbing H for the shoulder strap connector buckle until it is snug, but comfortable.- Pull the webbing for both shoulder straps until they are snug, but comfortable.
IMPORTANT
Make sure the child's face is not pressed against your chest. You are now ready to carry your baby in the front carry position.
To remove your baby, reverse the above steps while seated and carefully supporting your baby.
Side Carry
Facing Inward
For use with children 7 – 45 lbs (3.2 – 20.3 kg)
IMPORTANT: Child MUST be able to sit upright unassisted (about 6 months old) and MUST face forward, toward the caregiver.
Note: This configuration allows you to carry the baby on your left side.
- Lay carrier A before you with front facing down- ward.
Disconnect both shoulder strap buckles.
Connect the lower portion of the right shoulder strap B to the upper portion of the left shoulder strap E, as shown. Makesure it fastens with an audible click. - Place carrier A on the left side of your waist and connect the waist strap buckle D on your right side. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
Pull the waist strap webbing until it is snug, but comfortable. Place the buckled shoulder strap E over your head onto your right shoulder, as shown.
- Sit down.
Place baby in the carrier
Make sure baby's legs are under the shoulder straps while seated in the carrier.
IMPORTANT
Be prepared for baby's sudden movement!
While supporting baby's head and back, carefully raise carrier and baby up toward your chest. - While carefully support- ing baby with one hand, wrap the unbuckled shoulder strap around your back and fasten the buckle F, as shown. Make sure it fastens with an audible click.
While continuing to support your baby, pull the shoulder strap webbing G until it is snug, but comfortable.
- Pull the shoulder strap webbing H behind your back until it is snug, but comfortable.
Make sure child's legs are under all shoulder straps. You are now ready to carry your baby on your left hip, as shown.
To remove your baby, reverse the above steps while seated and carefully supporting your baby.
Backpack Carry

Pull the webbing until it is snug, but comfortable. Pull the webbing E for both shoulder straps until they are snug, but comfortable.
To Remove Child from Carrier
- Unfasten the shoulder strap connector buckle A.
- Have another person remove the child from your back while you lower both shoulder straps B.
