IMPORTANT SETUP NOTES

• Before plugging in your Wine Cooler, allow it to stand upright for three (3) hours.
• Place only on a flat, level surface that will support the full weight once the wine cooler has been fully loaded. You can ensure the unit is level by placing a small ball on top and checking to make sure it does not roll in any direction.
• Position the cooler in a dry, well-ventilated space with temperatures between 41 °F – 90 °F (5 °C – 32 °C).
• Leave a space of at least 6" in the back of the unit and 10" on both sides.
• Do not use without feet: the unit requires 2" of ground clearance.
• If you are discarding an old unit, remove its door and leave shelves in place to avoid an entrapment hazard.

NOTE: It is normal for your wine cooler to make a whirring sound that will cycle up when the compressor is working harder to chill your wine, and cycle down as the temperature lowers.

USING YOUR CONTROL PANEL

1. Unlock the control panel by pressing and holding the button for two (2) seconds. A beep will alert you that the panel has been unlocked.
2. Adjust the temperature in one (1) degree increments by pressing and holding the ( and ) buttons until the desired temperature is reached.
3. To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, press and hold the button for two (2) seconds.
4. You can also turn the interior light on or off by pressing the button. The light will stay on until you turn it off.

SETTING UP WI-FI

INTERNET ACCESS MODE
Press and hold the and buttons for more than three (3) seconds to switch to Internet access mode. Then, the indicator will start to blink rapidly.
NOTE: The wine cooler will exit set-up mode after three (3) minutes of nonuse.
PREPARATION BEFORE USE

1. Make sure your wine cooler is on and ensure that your smartphone is connected to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
   NOTE: This device works only on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. Download the My Ivation app from the App Store or Google Play. 
   NOTE: Authorize the app to access network and location services.
3. If you are using the app for the first time, click the “Sign up” button and register. If you already have an account, click the “Log in” button.

ADD DEVICE TO YOUR SMARTPHONE

1. From the Home Page, click “Add Device.”
2. You may also add a device by selecting + in the top right corner of the screen. (If you already have a device added to your account, the "Add Device" button will not appear.)
3. 3.    Select the wine cooler device you are trying to connect to.
   4.    When the indicator blinks rapidly, click “Confirm.” Select your Wi-Fi® network. Then, enter your router password.
   5.    Wait up to 60 seconds for the process to be complete. Once complete, the indicator will stop blinking and remain lit.
   6.    Once the device is added, you can use the menu to change the name and location of the device.
   7.    When you are finished, click “Done.”

NOTE: If the indicator light on the wine cooler blinks rapidly, the wine cooler is in EZ mode (default). If the indicator light blinks slowly, the wine cooler is in AP mode (compatibility).
IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE CONNECTING

1. While the indicator light is blinking rapidly, press and hold and buttons for more than three (3) seconds again to switch to AP mode.
2. Wait for the beep and after a few seconds, the indicator light will start to blink slowly.
3. From the Home Page, click “Add Device.”
4. Click “AP Mode” in the top right corner.
5. Click “Confirm.”
6. Select your Wi-Fi network.
7. Enter your password.
8. Click “Confirm.” The next screen will say “Connect your mobile phone to the device’s hotspot.”
9. Click “Go to connect.” This will take you to your phone’s settings (or Wi-Fi® list for Android®).
10. Select “SL-Ivation-XXXXX.”
11. Navigate back to the My Ivation App.
12. Click “Next.” Your smartphone will automatically connect.
13. Wait up to 60 seconds for the process to complete. Once complete, the indicator will stop blinking and remain lit.
14. Once the device is added, you can use the menu to change the name and location of the device.
15. When you are finished, click “Done.”

REMOVE DEVICE FROM APP

1. First method – Removing connection with the wine cooler: Press and hold the  and buttons for more than three (3) seconds to exit the network connection. The cooler will remove itself from the app and go back to a reset state.
2. Second method – Removing connection with the app: Open the app and go to the device page. Press and hold the wine cooler device. A message showing “Delete device or dismiss group” will appear.” Press “Confirm”, and the device will be disconnected.

DE-ICING YOUR WINE COOLER

• The unit’s Auto Defrost feature should prevent ice accumulation from occurring.
• However, should ice accumulation occur, you can do the following:
  • Unplug the Wine Cooler
  • Wait for all ice to melt
  • Once melting is complete, remove water from the unit
  • Plug in and restart the unit

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR WINE COOLER

TO CLEAN THE EXTERIOR

• Unplug before cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
• Wash the cabinet exterior only with mild soap and water and rinse thoroughly.
• Clean the glass door with glass cleaner or mild soap and water and a soft cloth.
• Wipe the control panel with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. To avoid damaging the panel, do not use cleaning sprays or over-saturated.

TO CLEAN THE INTERIOR

• Unplug before cleaning.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning products.
• Cleaning the door gasket:
  • Use mild soap or baking soda solution
  • Rinse well
  • Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the gasket at the hinge side to prevent sticking
• Use a warm water and baking soda solution inside the unit (about one tablespoon of baking soda to one quart of water) to clean and neutralize odors.

TROUBLESHOOTING

• If the unit doesn’t work: 
  Check to make sure the power supply has the correct voltage. Also, check to make sure there is not a circuit breaker that has been tripped or has blown a fuse.
• If the unit isn’t getting cold enough: 
  Make sure the temperature settings are adjusted correctly. 
• If so, the room in which the unit is operating might be too hot:
  Also, check whether the door has been opened too frequently or has not been completely closed. Check the seal on the door to make sure it is intact. Make sure the unit has sufficient clearance on all sides.
• If the unit vibrates or makes excessive noise: 
  Make sure the unit has been placed on a level, stable surface. Also, check to make sure the fan is working properly.
• If the LED display is not working or shows an error message: 
  Check to see if the unit is plugged in properly. If so, there may be a problem with the main circuit board that requires professional servicing.
• If the buttons don’t work: 
  The control panel may be damaged.
