Installation: Waterpik Fixed Mount Shower Head Instruction Manual
Content
Overview
The Fixed Mount Shower Head is designed for a straightforward replacement or upgrade of a standard shower fitting. Its pivoting connection lets you aim the spray higher, lower, or wider, while selected models add multiple spray patterns, a concentrated spray, or a water-saving trickle setting.
This guide explains installation, spray controls, safe operation, cleaning, troubleshooting, and warranty coverage for the Waterpik fixed mount shower head described in the instruction manual.

Detailed Description
The shower head attaches to the threaded shower pipe through a pivot ball. This joint supports directional adjustment, allowing the spray face to be positioned for different users and bathing areas.
A washer seals the connection above the filter screen. The filter screen helps catch particles before they enter the spray passages and can be removed for rinsing. The shower face contains flexible rubber nozzles that can be rubbed gently to release mineral buildup.
On models equipped with a spray selector, a small lever moves left or right to change between available spray patterns. AST and ASO models use a push button to switch between a full-body spray and a concentrated power spray. Some versions also include a water-saving trickle button that reduces the flow while you shampoo or pause briefly.
Safety
- Set the household water heater to 120°F (48.9°C) or lower to reduce scalding risk and conserve energy.
- Test the bath or shower water with your hand before entering.
- For Ecoflow or high-efficiency shower heads, use a pressure-balancing tub-and-shower valve with properly adjusted rotational limit stops. A qualified plumber should set the valve.
- The product is intended for external use only.
- Some tap water and untreated well water may contain the potentially dangerous Naegleria fowleri amoeba. Avoid allowing untreated water to enter the nose.
- Stop using the shower head if it becomes damaged or malfunctions.
Setup and Operation
Tools and preparation
Installation normally requires no tools. A soft cloth and pliers may be useful when removing the old shower head or dealing with a difficult connection, but pipe tape is not recommended for this installation.
- Remove the existing shower head and all pipe tape from the shower pipe.
- Check that the old washer has not remained inside the pipe. Use a thin object such as a pencil or screwdriver to inspect the opening; never use your fingers.
Installation
- Hold the Fixed Mount Shower Head in its intended position.
- Thread the pivot ball onto the shower pipe by turning it clockwise.
- Hand-tighten the connection until it is snug. Do not force the fitting or overtighten it.
- Make sure the washer is seated correctly above the filter screen and that only one washer is inside the pivot-ball connection.
- Check the connection for leaks before regular use.
Adjusting spray settings
On models with a spray selector, rotate the small lever to the left or right until the desired spray pattern is selected.
On AST and ASO models, press the toggle button at the base of the shower head to select either full-body spray or concentrated power spray. Press the button again from the opposite side to change back.
To adjust the direction on AST models, loosen the nut, reposition the shower head, and retighten it. This permits higher, lower, or wider spray coverage.
On models with a water-saving trickle button, press the button on the rear of the shower head to reduce the flow temporarily. Press the control on the opposite side to restore the original spray setting.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the shower head when mineral deposits appear around the spray nozzles or when spray patterns become restricted.
- Rub the flexible rubber nozzles gently with your fingers to loosen mineral deposits.
- For heavier buildup, remove the shower head and place the spray face down in 1 to 2 cups of white vinegar for approximately 2 to 3 hours.
- Reinstall the shower head and run water through every spray mode for 1 to 2 minutes to flush out the vinegar.
- Repeat the process if deposits remain.
- Remove the filter screen from the pivot ball and rinse it from the back to clear trapped particles.
- Reinstall the filter screen and ensure the washer is seated on top of it before attaching the shower head.
Do not use harsh chemicals, heavy-duty cleaners, or abrasive products. These substances can damage components or the finish and may void the warranty.
Troubleshooting
No water comes from the installed shower head
- Confirm that the washer from the previous shower head is not still inside the shower pipe.
- Check that only one washer is installed in the pivot-ball connection.
- Inspect the filter screen for particles or blockage and rinse it if necessary.
Low water pressure or missing spray patterns
- Clean the spray nozzles with a gentle rubbing motion.
- Soak the shower head in white vinegar as described in the cleaning section.
- Remove and rinse the filter screen.
Leak at the shower-pipe connection
- Verify that only one washer is seated above the filter screen.
- Make sure all old pipe tape has been removed from the shower pipe.
- Confirm that the pivot ball is properly hand-tightened.
- If the connection remains difficult to seal, rub a bar of soap across the shower-pipe threads as a temporary sealing aid.
The shower head is difficult to angle
- Reposition the Fixed Mount Shower Head to provide more leverage when changing the spray direction.
- For AST models, loosen and retighten the nut after setting the desired angle.
- Do not use excessive force, tools, or abrasive products on the fitting.
