Assembling the Booster Seat
- Step 1: Insert armrest into base as shown until buttons snap into slots on side of base.
Step 2: Select the desired armrest height for your child, then insert the height adjustment screw and tighten. Repeat for other armrest.
Step 3: To adjust armrests, remove screw and press in button on side of base as shown to raise or lower. Reinsert screw and tighten. CHECK to make sure armrests are securely attached by pulling up on them.
Step 4: Slip armrest covers (on certain models) onto armrests as shown.
Step 5: Your Graco booster seat is now ready to use. See page 33, “Securing Child in Vehicle with Shoulder Belt Positioning Clip”.
FOR MODELS with a back support continue on to Step 6.
Step 6: On certain models, your lower back support pad may not be attached to the back support. Place lower back support pad around edges of support as shown. Then fasten lower elastic strap to the metal hook on the other side of the seat pad. If your lower back support pad is already attached go to Step 6a.
Step 6a: Flip head support and lower back support over as shown.
Step 7: Squeeze red adjustment button and slide two pieces together until they snap into place. CHECK to make sure two pieces are securely snapped together by pulling on them.
Step 8: Attach elastic strap to metal hook on other side of seat pad as shown. If your elastic strap is already attached you can skip to Step 9.
Step 9: Flip seat over and insert the fabric from the head support underneath the fabric on the lower back support as shown. To make insertion of fabric easier, slide the upper and lower back pieces apart by squeezing the red adjustment button.
Step 10: Attach backrest to base. “U”-shaped hooks on bottom of backrest will interlock with bars on base. Make sure that no part of the seat covering interferes when attaching backrest to the base.
Step 11: Once backrest is securely attached to the base, push backrest up as shown.
Step 12: Your Graco booster seat is now ready to use. See page 23-30, “Using your Graco Booster Seat” and “Securing Your Child in Vehicle”.
Weight and Height Limits
Warning: FAILURE TO USE booster seat in a manner appropriate for your child's size may increase the risk of serious injury or death. To use this Graco booster seat, your child MUST meet ALL of the following requirements:
With back support (approximately 3 to 10 years old)
- Weigh between 30 and 100 lbs (mass between 13.6 and 45 kg), and
- Are between 38 and 57 inches (96 and 145 cm) in height, and
- The shoulder belt MUST lie across child’s shoulders in the red zone as shown and the lap portion is positioned low on the child’s hips, and
The child’s ears are below top of booster seat. If tops of ears are above top of seat, your child is too large for the booster seat.
Without back support (approximately 4 to 10 years old)
- Weigh between 40 and 100 lbs (mass between 18 and 45 kg), and
- Are between 40 and 57 inches (101 and 145 cm) in height, and
- The shoulder belt MUST lie across child’s shoulders in the red zone as shown and the lap portion is positioned low on the child’s hips, and
When sitting on the booster seat, your child’s ears are below the top of the vehicle seat cushion / head rest.
Your Graco booster seat can be used with or without the back support (on certain models) as long as the above requirements are met.
Using your Graco Booster Seat
Warning: FAILURE TO PROPERLY SECURE YOUR CHILD AND THE BOOSTER SEAT IN YOUR VEHICLE INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN THE EVENT OF A SHARP TURN, SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.
WARNING
Use only the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt system when restraining the child in this booster seat.
NEVER use a vehicle lap-only belt across the front of the child.
- Vehicle belts MUST lie flat against the child and MUST not be twisted.
- DO NOT use shoulder belt loose or positioned under the child’s arm.
- DO NOT position vehicle belt over top of the armrests. It must pass underneath the armrests.
Make sure the vehicle belt is NOT twisted.
- Lap portion of lap/shoulder belt MUST be low and snug on hips, just touching thighs.
DO NOT allow child to slide down in the booster seat.
If the child will not keep the vehicle restraint properly positioned, DO NOT use this booster seat. Use a different child restraint system.
Vehicle seat headrest must not interfere with booster seat head support. The front of booster seat MUST NOT hang over the front of the vehicle seat. The back of the booster seat MUST fit tight against the vehicle seat back as shown.
Cupholders
Cupholders are included on both sides of the seat.
Instruction Sheet Storage
Your instruction sheet can be stored on the bottom of the seat as shown.
Care and Maintenance
CONTINUOUS USE OF BOOSTER SEAT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT.
- Use a booster seat mat, towel or thin blanket to protect upholstery.
- METAL AND PLASTIC PARTS: clean with mild soap and cool water. No bleach or detergents.
To Remove Seat Cover
Remove elastic loops and hooks from the seat as shown.
On some models, there is a plastic clip in the front of the seat pad on the base that will need to be removed before washing.
- Machine wash cover in cold water on delicate cycle and drip-dry. DO NOT USE BLEACH.
- To put the seat cover back on, reverse preceding instructions.
Body Pillows (on certain models)
Body Pillows are included with some models. Insert body pillows exactly as shown. DO NOT use any other pillows other than those provided by Graco.
