Setup Guide

To set up the Hamilton Beach Single-Serve Blender, first, make sure the blender is plugged in. Next, place your ingredients in the travel cup, making sure not to exceed the maximum fill line. Attach the blade assembly to the bottom of the cup, and then twist the cup onto the blender base. Finally, press the blend button to start blending your ingredients. Once your drink is blended to your liking, twist off the blade assembly and attach the flip-top lid to the travel cup.

Blending Tips

• To add foods when blender is operating, remove filler-cap from lid and add ingredients through the opening.
• For best performance in the 20-oz. blending jar, the minimum amount of liquid needed per recipe is 3/4 cup (177 ml). Add more liquid if food is not blending properly.
• If blending action stops during blending or ingredients stick to sides of the jar, there may not be enough liquid in the jar to blend efficiently.
• Do not try to mash potatoes, mix stiff dough, whip egg whites, grind raw meat, or extract juices from fruits and vegetables.
• Avoid bumping or dropping the blender when in operation or at any time.
• Do not process hot foods or liquids in blender jar.

NOTE: This machine is equipped with motor overload protection. If the motor stops during operation due to overheating, unplug and allow it to cool down for approximately 15 minutes. Plug machine back in to resume normal operation.

Cleaning the Blender

WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before cleaning. Do not immerse cord, plug, or base in any liquid.

1. Unplug.
2. Blender jar collar can be removed for cleaning.
3. Blender jar, lid with filler-cap, and blade assembly are dishwasher-safe in top rack or hand wash in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry.
4. Wipe blender base and cord with a damp cloth or sponge. To remove stubborn spots, use a mild, nonabrasive cleanser.
