Before First Use

Clean the cooking plates with a damp cloth or sponge.

How to Use

1. While using for the first time, clean.
2. Place the appliance on a flat surface.
3. Slightly grease the cooking plates with a little butter or cooking oil.
4. Plug in the appliance & heat up the plates until the green "ready to cook" pilot light glows ON.
5. The appliance is ready for use.
6. Prepare the ingredients for your toasted sandwich. For each sandwich you need two slices of bread and a suitable filling.
7. To obtain an even golden browning result, you can slightly butter the side of the bread in contact with the plates.
8. Place the first set of slices of bread with the buttered side on the lower cooking plate, place your filling, and cover with the set of second slices of bread with the buttered side up. You can also toast only one sandwich.
9. Lower the upper cooking plate carefully onto the bread until the sandwich toaster is tightly clamped.
10. Open the appliance after 2-3 minutes and check the browning. The cooking time required to obtain crisp, brown sandwiches depends on the type of bread and fillings.
11. Use a non-metallic utensil (e.g. wooden spatula) to remove the toasted sandwich. Do not use sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils.
12. Unplug the appliance from the wall socket after use.

Note: During cooking, the green "Ready to Cook" pilot light cycles ON and OFF to maintain the correct temperature of the appliance.
