SHORT LENGTH SELECTION DIAL (Fig. 6)
The short length adjustment dial can be adjusted to give you 5 different cutting lengths (0.8 - 2mm) simply by turning the wheel to the desired setting. Turn the wheel anti-clockwise for a longer length and clockwise for a shorter length.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CUTTING HAIR

For even cutting, allow the comb attachment/blade to cut its way through the hair. Do not force it through quickly. If you are cutting for the first time, start with the maximum comb attachment.

STEP 1 – Nape of the neck (Fig. 1)

  • Use a 3a mm or 6mm guide comb.
  • Hold the clipper with the blade teeth pointing upwards. Begin starting at the centre of the head at the base of the neck.
  • Slowly lift the clipper, working upwards and outwards through the hair, trimming just a little at a time.

STEP 2 – Back of the head (Fig. 2)
With the comb set at 9mm or 12mm, cut the hair at the back of the head.

STEP 3 – Side of the head (Fig. 3)
With the 9mm or 12mm guide comb attached, trim sideburns. Then change to the longer 20mm guide comb and continue to cut the top of the head.

STEP 4 – Top of the head (Fig. 4)

  • Attach the 25-40mm guide comb, cut hair on top of the head against the direction in which the hair normally grows.
  • For longer hair on top, use without a guide comb. Lift the hair on top of the head with a small hand comb. Cut over the hand comb with the hair lifted, or hold the hair between the fingers to lift it and cut it to the desired length.

STEP 5 – The finishing touches (Fig. 5)
Use the clipper without an attachment comb for close trimming around the base and sides of the neck.

How do I set up the remington Hair Clipper HC5810 for first-time use?

To set up your remington Hair Clipper HC5810, first fully charge the built-in battery for about 90 minutes until the LED indicator shows full charge. Attach the desired hair comb or blade guard for your preferred hair length. Turn on the clipper using the power button and adjust the cutting length between 0.8 mm to 40 mm using the adjustable settings. Always use on dry hair for optimal performance.

What should I do if my remington Hair Clipper HC5810 is not charging properly?

If your remington Hair Clipper HC5810 does not charge, ensure the power cord and charger are correctly connected to a working outlet. Check the LED charging indicator; it should blink green when charging. If the battery is completely drained, it may take a few minutes before the light appears. Avoid using non-original chargers, and if problems persist, contact Remington customer support for battery service or replacement.

Can the remington Hair Clipper HC5810 be used on wet hair?

No, the remington Hair Clipper HC5810 should not be used on wet hair. Using it on wet hair can cause the blades to get stuck and result in uneven cuts or discomfort. Additionally, moisture can cause rust on the blades and damage the internal components. Always dry hair before clipping to ensure smooth cutting and maintain the longevity of your clipper.

How do I clean and maintain the blades of the remington Hair Clipper HC5810?

To maintain your remington Hair Clipper HC5810, remove the blade attachment and brush away hair debris after each use using the included cleaning brush. The blades are self-sharpening but should be properly oiled periodically with clipper oil to ensure smooth operation. Avoid submerging the clipper in water. Regular cleaning prevents blade dulling and extends the life of your hair clipper.

What are the key features that distinguish the remington Hair Clipper HC5810?

The remington Hair Clipper HC5810 features self-sharpening ceramic blades for long-lasting precision, an ergonomic grip for comfortable handling, and a rechargeable battery providing up to 40 minutes of cordless use. It includes LED indicators for battery and charging status, multiple cutting lengths from 0.8 mm to 40 mm, and comes with a storage stand and carrying case for convenience.

How long does the battery last on the remington Hair Clipper HC5810, and how is battery life indicated?

What can I do if the remington Hair Clipper HC5810 blades feel dull or the clipper pulls hair?

If the blades of your remington Hair Clipper HC5810 feel dull or pull hair, first clean and oil the blades thoroughly. Dirty or unlubricated blades reduce cutting efficiency.
