  3. Replace the battery cover to its original position.
  4. Replace batteries as soon as you notice the trimmer running  slower than normal, to avoid pulling hairs.
  5. To maximize battery life, trimmer should be shut off immediately  after using.

ATTACHING GUIDE COMBS

Align comb onto the blade then press tab until it clicks into position.

SPECIAL FEATURES

  1. Your trimmer has been designed with several advanced features to help you get perfect results every time you trim. Your trimmer may be used to neatly trim goatees, beards, moustaches, neckline, sideburns around the ears and eyebrows, or anywhere you may need grooming. It also makes a great all-around family trimmer for mini haircuts and touch ups between trips to the barber or to clean up the shape of the neck.
  2. A 6-Position Trimming Guide makes achieving a consistent trim easy every time.  (Not included in all models)
  3. The guide can be removed (providing a seventh cutting position) and reattached without changing the pre-set cutting length, so once you have found the perfect length, there’s no guesswork in achieving it every trim. The trimming guide is a two-piece assembly, consisting of a base and a comb. It should not be disassembled. To attach the guide, simply slide it on at a slight angle and press the release tab down to secure in position.

To remove the guide, gently push up on the release tab and slide the assembly away from the trimmer. Adjust the trimming length by pressing on the thumb lever and moving the comb forward or backward to the desired setting.

TRIMMING AND EDGING YOUR FACIAL HAIR
(With 6 position guide comb)
The following are suggested trimming steps and trimmer positions. You may find different procedures work better for you.

  1. Comb your beard in the direction that it grows to help reveal stray hairs that may be longer than the others.
  2. Attach the 6-position trimming guide to trim and taper your beard. Begin  with the guide set at a long trimming length. Trim toward your chin in smooth, overlapping strokes, following the lay of your beard. If you trim against the way your beard naturally lays, the trimmer will cut the hair much shorter and the result may be patchy.

    Style NumberBeard LengthMeasurement (mm)
    #1Stubble Length2 mm
    #2Short4 mm
    #3Medium Short6 mm
    #4Medium8 mm
    #5Medium Long10 mm
    #6Long12 mm
  3. To cut the outline of your beard, remove the trimming guide. Starting under your chin and working back toward your jawbone and ears, cut the outer perimeter of your beard underneath the jawbone. Continue the line all the way up to the ears and hairline.
  4. Accentuate your beard line by using the trimmer in a downward  motion. Start at the line you’ve created and, working from the chin back toward the ears, trim the area right under your beard line.
  5. Define the upper part of your beard using the same technique.

TRIMMING YOUR MOUSTACHE

3.png
  1. Comb your moustache.
  2. Hold the trimmer in a vertical position with the blades pointing toward you in order to define the line of your moustache.
  3. With the attachment set at a fairly long trimming length, begin trimming your moustache, starting at the top and working down to your upper lip. Use progressively closer settings to get the look and length you desire. (You may also use the close-trim/Jaw line blending attachment for finish blending and tapering your moustache, not included in all models).
  4. For tapering the moustache, set the 6-position trimming guide at a medium length. Starting in the middle of your moustache, follow the lip line and taper with short upward strokes of the trimmer, working out toward the corners until a gentle shape is created on the bottom of your moustache.
  5. As a finishing step, remove the trimming guide and, using only the bare blades, make a definitive line at the bottom of your moustache.

TRIMMING YOUR MOUSTACHE
(With 3 moustache trimmer attachments) - (Not included in all models)
Your trimmer includes moustache trimming attachments (medium and short) and the Jaw line blender. The medium cut attachment has two bars and the short cut attachment one bar. The Jaw line blender has longer teeth than the medium and shorter trimmer attachments, and may also be used as a long moustache trimming attachment. These attachments are ideal for blending, tapering and defining moustaches. To use the attachments, follow the instructions given for the Jaw Line blender attachment.

USING THE JAW LINE BLENDER ATTACHMENT

  1. Comb your moustache.
  2. Cut the outline of your moustache. Holding the trimmer in a vertical position, with the nameplate side facing you, define the line of your moustache.
  3. Blending. Holding the trimmer with the nameplate facing you, first take the Jaw Line blender and, starting with the middle of your moustache, lightly trim at direct angles away from the middle. For a shorter length, use the medium or short cut attachment.
  4. Tapering. Hold the trimmer with the nameplate facing away from you. Take the medium or short cut attachment and, again starting with the middle of your moustache, follow the lip line and taper out the moustache until a gentle shape is created on the bottom portion of your moustache.
  5. Defining. As a finishing step, hold the trimmer with the nameplate facing you. Using only the bare blades, make a definitive line at the bottom of your moustache.

Troubleshooting

If your product fails to operate when switched ‘ON’ check your batteries to see if they are properly installed. Positive end should be located as shown in battery housing. Make sure switch is in the ‘ON’ position and check to be sure blades are free to move. If blades become clogged, manually pushing the blades back and fourth few times while unit is turned ‘OFF’ may help free the blades and allow the trimmer to operate. If it still does not operate, your batteries have probably exceeded their useful life.
