ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENTS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn unit off and remove the battery pack before making any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury.
CAUTION: Ensure the battery is removed before removing extension attachment or end attachment. An attachment must be attached to the housing before use.

Blow Tube Assembly

(Fig. B, C)

• To attach the blower tube 3 to the power head, line up the peg 5 on the bottom of the power head with the notch 6 on the bottom of the blower tube opening as shown in Fig. B.
• Push the blower tube onto the power head until the tube locks 2 engage the blower tube and an audible click is heard.
• Pull on the tube to ensure it is securely in place.
• To remove the tube, press in and the two tube locks 2 and pull tube off as shown in Fig. C.

WARNING: Do not operate blower without tube securely in place. Never reach down into housing through tube hole.
WARNING: Always remove the battery when you leave blower unattended or when storing, checking, adjusting, cleaning, or working on blower.

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack

NOTE: For best results, make sure your battery pack is fully charged.

• To install the battery pack  7  into the tool handle, align the battery pack with the rails inside the tool’s handle and slide it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly seated in the tool and ensure that it does not disengage.
• To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the release button  8  and firmly pull the battery pack out of the tool handle. Insert it into the charger as described in the charger section of this manual.

Proper Hand Position

• Hold the blower with one hand on the main handle 4 

OPERATION

WARNING: Do not operate blower without blow tube securely in place. Never reach down into housing through tube hole.
WARNING: Always wear safety glasses. Wear a filter mask if the operation is dusty. Use of rubber gloves and substantial footwear is recommended when working outdoors. Keep long hair and loose clothing away from openings and moving parts. FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
WARNING: Cut Hazard. When turning the tool off, wait 10 seconds for the fan to stop rotating before removing the blower tube.

• Always ensure the blower is switched OFF and the battery is removed when:
  • You leave blower unattended.
  • Clearing a blockage.
  • Checking, adjusting, cleaning or working on blower.
• Only use blower in daylight or good artificial light.

Switching ON/OFF

WARNING: Use both hands to grip the product firmly when switching on.

CAUTION: Do not point unit discharge at self or bystanders.
Your blower is fitted with a 2 speed ON/OFF switch located on the top of the power head handle 5 . 

• To switch the blower ON, slide the ON/OFF 1 switch forward to position 1 as shown in Fig. L.
• To operate blower in high speed, slide the ON/OFF 1 switch forward to position 2 as shown in Fig. L.
• To switch the blower off, slide the ON/OFF 1 switch back as shown in Fig. F.

• Install the battery pack  7  into the tool handle.
• Hold the blow tube approximately 7 inches (180 mm) above the ground, turn the blower ON and using a sweeping motion from side to side, advance slowly keeping the accumulated debris/leaves in front of you as shown in Fig. G.

Setup Guide

To operate the Black+Decker 20V MAX Leaf Blower BCBL700, 

• Start by charging the included 20V MAX lithium-ion battery using the provided charger. 
• Once charged, insert the battery into the blower's battery slot until it clicks into place.
• Adjust the speed setting according to your needs using the trigger located on the handle. 

For assembly

• Simply attach any additional accessories such as the blow tube or nozzle if provided.

To configure

• Ensure all parts are securely attached before use. 
• There is no pairing required as this is a straightforward cordless tool; simply insert the battery and start using it.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with clean, dry air at least once a week. To minimize the risk of eye injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved eye protection when performing this.
WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials used in these parts. Use a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap. Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool into a liquid.
