Who We Are: At PetSafe, our aim is to strengthen the companionship between pets and people, so they can create their best moments together. We lead the pet industry in the development of innovative products to help improve relationships between pets and their owners. Our products include pet fencing systems, bark control solutions, remote trainers, pet doors, harnesses and head collars, toys, pet fountains and feeders, waste management systems, and products to travel with your pet. We’re headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., but our company spans more than 50 countries across six continents.

Our team of pet lovers is passionate about developing products that enhance the relationship between pets and their owners. We conduct in-home tests and put every product through real-world conditions to perfect every detail. With the insight of the world’s top trainers, veterinarians and behaviorists, our products stand alone in excellence and value.

Where We Came From: Our parent company, Radio Systems Corporation, was founded in 1991, selling the first do-it-yourself pet containment system. Over the past 25 years, we've grown from a small team with just one product to a team of hundreds of associates working across the globe on dozens of innovative pets solutions. All PetSafe products are designed to give pet owners the best experience possible with their pets.

How We Work: From the beginning, our founder, Randy Boyd, infused the company with his spirit of collaboration, innovation and a drive to enhance the human-animal bond. Setting the tone with a casual work environment and no private offices, PetSafe is a relaxed, relationship-driven workplace where we bring our pets to work every day. Bringing our pets to work inspires what we do and drives our product development. We end every day “dog tired” from logging extra hours to ensure pets everywhere are happy, safe and enjoying the best quality of life possible. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

Setup Guide

1. Charge the collar fully before use. 
2. Plug in the transmitter and adjust the dial to set the desired boundary width. 
3. Place the transmitter in a central location within your yard, away from metal objects and large trees. 
4. Test the boundary by following these steps:
   • Ensure the collar is on your pet and the status light is solid green.
   • Walk your pet toward the boundary while observing their behavior. The collar will emit a warning beep before static correction is applied.
   • Gradually adjust the boundary width until you find a suitable range for your pet.
5. Train your pet using the tone-only mode and gradual introduction of static correction.

Troubleshooting

• If the collar does not vibrate or emit a warning beep, ensure the transmitter is on and functioning properly.
• If the collar continues to correct after your pet has returned to the interior of the boundary, readjust the boundary width.
• If the status light on the collar indicates low battery, recharge the battery in the charging unit.
