HOW TO USE

Before use, check the humidifier for leaks and visible damage that may have occurred during shipping. DO NOT USE if there is evidence of damage.

FILLING WATER TANK

1. Unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet. 
   Note: Spills can occur during cleaning, moving,, or refilling g the water tank, so be careful to avoid spills.
2.  Remove the water tank by grasping the integrated carry handle and pulling up.
3. Unscrew the cap from the bottom of the tank and fill with cool tap water where the fill icon is indicated .  Replace cap. 
   Note: Do not pour water through the top Air Outlet on the water tank .
   TIP: If you have hard water or water with excessive minerals, we recommend using distilled water to help reduce white dust and mineral buildup.
4. Plug the adapter into the humidifier base and return the tank securely to the base in the nested position.
5. Plug ithe n the humidifier into the approved power source.
   Note: Any additives, such as aroma fragrances,, should not be used in the water tank or base. These additives can cause cracks in the plastic of the humidifier and may affect performance. Any use of such additives voids the manufacturer’s warranty

Easily operate and control mist settings with the power control. Tap ( ) to cycle through settings as follows:

• MODE 1 - High mist setting, base light on. 
• MODE 2 - High mist setting, base light off. 
• MODE 3 - Low mist setting, base light on. 
• MODE 4 - Low mist setting, base light off. 
• MODE 5 - Powers off the unit, all lights off.

Note: The User can also hold down the power control for 3 seconds to power off the unit when powered on in Modes 1 through 4.

HIGH MIST SETTING
Operation for fast humidification of small-sized rooms. 

LOW MIST SETTING
Operation for quiet, nighttime use. 

TIP: Lower the mist setting or turn off the humidifier if moisture forms on walls orwindowss.

LOW WATER INDICATOR & AUTO SHUTOFF
When the humidifier detects a low water level, it will automatically power off. If the power control is pressed, then the light will pulsate 3 times to indicate that the water tank needs to be refilled. Refill the tank and power the humidifier back on to resume operation.

CLEANING

Proper cleaning is essential to the air quality and performance of your humidifier. The frequency at which your humidifier will need to be cleaned will vary depending on use, water hardness,, and outside environmental factors. 

It is recommended, assuming average use, to thoroughly clean weekly or when algae, mineral deposits,, or other particles begin to form. If the humidifier is turned off with water in the base and not turned back on for 8 hours or longer, or ithe f the humidifier is not cleaned as recommended, you may experience some growth of algae or bacteria. These microorganisms may become airborne.

NOTE: Do not use gasoline, thinners, solvents,, or other chemicals for cleaning.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Turn the humidifier off, unplug it from the wall,, and disconnect the adapter from the base.
2. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water in the base.
3. Gently wipe down and clean the water tank with a mild detergent. Rinse with clean tap water.
4. Locate the ultrasonic disk on the inside center of the base. Put 5-10 drops of vinegar on the surface of the ultrasonic disk. Wait for 2-5 minutes. Use a soft-tipped cotton swab to gently clean the disk. Do not scrub or scrape the ultrasonic disk.
5. Clean the water basin using a soft cloth or soft-tipped cotton swab, and rinse with clean tap water. Do NOT submerge the base in water.
6. Wipe the outer surface of the unit with a soft, damp cloth if needed.

STORAGE

During the off-season or after extended periods of non-use, you may choose to store your humidifier. To ensure the long life of the product, it is recommended to store your humidifier by following these instructions:

TIP: Cleaning is recommended before storage

1. Unplug the power cord and bundle loosely.
2. Let the humidifier dry completely before storing. Do not store with water inside the water tank or base.
3. Cover, or place back in retail carton if available. This will prevent the humidifier from accumulating dust over time.
4. Store the humidifier in a cool and dry location.

• Vornado Air, LLC warrants to the original consumer or purchaser that this Sharper Image® Humidifier (“Product”) is free from defects in material or workmanship for a period 
  of one (1) year from the date of purchase. If any such defect is discovered within the warranty period, Vornado, at its discretion, will repair or replace the Product at no cost. 
• For warranty service: Call 833-800-8669 to obtain a Return Authorization (“RA”) form. Please have or include your Product’s model number and serial number, as well as your name, address, city, state, zip code,, and phone number when contacting Vornado for warranty service. .
• After receiving the RA form, ship your Product to: Vornado Air LLC, Attn: Warranty & Repair,,r 415 East 13th Street, Andover, KS 67002. For your convenience, please have your model number and serial number when contacting Vornado with service inquiries. 
• To assure proper handling, packages must be clearly marked with the RA number. Packages not clearly marked with the RA number may be refused at the receiving dock. Please allow 1-2 weeks for repair and return of your Product after the Product is received. 
• Repairs not covered by the warranty or outside the warranty period will require a fee to cover the cost of materials, labor, handling, and shipping. 
• This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from abuse of the Product, modification, alteration, mishandling, improper maintenance, commercial use,,e or repair or service of the Product by anyone other than Vornado; damages which occur in shipment or are attributed to acts of God. Improper product use, which includes using an an annnal device that alters or converts the voltage or frequency of electricity, or shipping a Vornado product to a country not intended for use,, will void all warranties. Any unauthorized product modification, repair by unauthorized repair center, or use of non-approved replacement parts is not recommended,, and any consequences will not be covered by support services or product warranties.
