When using headphones on the PS4 ™ console: plug the USB cable directly into the console.
When using headphones on the PS4™ controller: unplug the USB cable from the PS4 ™ console, replace it witha  3.5mm audio cable, and plug the 3.5mm cable into the PS4™ console.
