Setup: Jabra Scheduler VTD050 User Manual
Content
Overview
The Scheduler VTD050 is a wall-mounted room scheduling touch controller designed for meeting rooms and workplace spaces. Its 10-inch LCD touchscreen provides an interface for room availability, scheduling, and meeting-room management, while network connectivity allows administrators to configure and manage the device remotely.
The Jabra Scheduler is intended for organizations that need a dedicated room-booking display. Initial setup is completed through an on-screen wizard, with support for language selection, date and time configuration, firmware updates, and linking the device to an organization in Jabra Plus.

Detailed Description
The front of the Scheduler VTD050 contains the touchscreen and two proximity sensors. The sensors help detect nearby activity without requiring physical contact with the display. On the rear, a removable cover provides access to the connection area and mounting points.
The rear panel includes the Ethernet port used for both network communication and PoE power, an ultrasonic sound proximity emitter, a pinhole reset button, a Kensington security slot, and a USB-C connector intended for future use. Keep the USB-C port unused unless a supported function becomes available.
The scheduler can be installed in either a flat or angled position. Cable routing is flexible: the Ethernet cable can exit from the left, right, top, or bottom of the rear cover when using a wall installation. A mullion mounting option is available for suitable narrow wall or doorframe locations.

Safety
- Use the Scheduler VTD050 indoors only.
- Keep the device away from direct sunlight.
- Do not use or store the scheduler where temperatures exceed 40°C or fall below 0°C.
- Keep the touchscreen and connected cables away from rain, spills, and other liquids.
- Do not install the device next to the ventilation outlets of a monitor or television, as heated airflow can cause overheating or malfunction.
- Choose mounting hardware suitable for the wall material and the weight of the installed device.
- Leave at least 10 cm of clearance beside the scheduler when it is installed in a corner so the side mounting screws can be tightened.
Setup and Operation
Connect the network and power
The Scheduler VTD050 receives power through its Ethernet connection. Connect a PoE Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the rear of the device and connect the other end to a PoE-enabled network switch.
If the network switch does not provide PoE power, place a compatible PoE injector between the Ethernet switch and the scheduler. Connect the switch to the injector’s Ethernet input, connect the injector’s PoE output to the scheduler, and provide power to the injector.
Wall mounting
- Select a flat mounting surface and determine whether the scheduler will be installed flat or at an angle.
- Attach the rear cover using the supplied glass mounting adhesives or appropriate wall screws. Adhesives are intended for suitable glass surfaces.
- Remove the screw envelope from the back of the scheduler and keep the two M3 × 8 mm screws available.
- Route the PoE cable through the left, right, top, or bottom cable opening in the rear cover, depending on the installation position.
- Connect the cable to the scheduler’s Ethernet port.
- Align the latches on the scheduler with the rear cover and press the device into position until it clicks.
- Secure the front unit to the rear cover with the two M3 × 8 mm screws.
Mullion mounting
- Use the wedge to mark the correct distance between the mounting screws and the doorframe.
- Install two suitable non-countersunk screws, leaving a 7.5 mm gap between the wall and the screw heads.
- Hang the Mullion Mount loosely on the screws.
- Route the PoE cable through the side of the mount.
- Remove the scheduler’s rear cover, route the cable through the left or right side, and position the cover on the mount.
- Fasten the rear cover to the Mullion Mount with the pre-installed M5 × 5.5 mm screws.
- Connect the PoE cable to the scheduler’s Ethernet port.
- Align the latches and press the scheduler onto the rear cover until it clicks.
- Secure the external side with one M3 × 8 mm screw.
- Temporarily remove the Mullion Mount from the wall screws while keeping the Ethernet cable connected.
- Secure the internal side with the second M3 × 8 mm screw.
- Reinstall the mount on the wall screws and place the wedge between the Mullion Mount and the screw heads to lock the installation in place.
Initial configuration
After powering on, follow the on-screen setup wizard. The configuration process includes selecting the interface language, adjusting the user interface, setting the date and time, updating firmware, and linking the scheduler with an organization in Jabra Plus.
Firmware updates
Update the device before first use when possible. Firmware updates can improve performance and add functionality.
- From the scheduler: Open Device settings, enter the System menu, and select Update.
- From the Web Console: Enter the scheduler’s IP address in a browser and use the system management options. During the first Web Console login, the default username is admin; the default password is the last six digits of the scheduler’s serial number.
- From Jabra Plus: Use the meeting-room management tools and the firmware policy assigned to the room configuration.
- From a video-conferencing administrator portal: Use the device-management features provided by the connected service for centralized updates.
The serial number is available in Device settings under the About menu. For large deployments, remote management through Jabra Plus or the video-conferencing service portal can simplify firmware administration.
Restart the scheduler
A restart preserves the current device settings. You can restart the scheduler through the Web Console, Jabra Plus, the administrator portal for the connected video-conferencing service, or the device settings menu in the video-conferencing application.
For a manual restart, insert a paperclip into the pinhole reset button on the edge of the screen. Hold the button for five seconds, then release it when the restart message appears. The reboot takes approximately one minute.
Factory reset
A factory reset returns the Scheduler VTD050 to its default configuration and removes the current setup. Use this option only when preparing the device for a new installation or resolving a configuration problem that cannot be corrected through normal settings.
- Web Console: Open the scheduler’s IP address in a browser and use the System Reset menu.
- Scheduler interface: Open Device settings in the video-conferencing application, sign in as an administrator, and select General followed by System reset.
- Manual reset: Press and hold the pinhole reset button on the rear of the scheduler with a paperclip for 20 seconds. Release it when the factory data reset message appears. The reboot takes approximately one minute.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean the touchscreen and exterior with a soft screen-cleaning cloth.
- Do not spray cleaner directly onto the device.
- Keep liquids away from the display, rear connections, and Ethernet cable.
- Inspect the Ethernet connection and mounting hardware periodically to ensure the cable remains secure and the unit stays firmly attached.
- Keep the scheduler away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, freezing conditions, and monitor or television vents.
Troubleshooting
The scheduler does not power on
Confirm that the Ethernet cable is connected to the scheduler’s Ethernet port and to a PoE-enabled switch or the PoE output of an injector. If the network switch does not supply power, install a suitable PoE injector between the switch and the scheduler.
The device is connected but cannot be managed remotely
Check the Ethernet connection and identify the scheduler’s IP address. Use that address to open the Web Console. For centralized management, verify that the scheduler has been linked to the correct organization and meeting-room configuration.
The scheduler is unresponsive
Perform a manual restart by holding the edge pinhole reset button for five seconds. Allow approximately one minute for the reboot to finish before attempting configuration again.
Configuration problems continue after restarting
Use a factory reset through the Web Console or the administrator settings in the connected video-conferencing application. If using the physical reset method, hold the rear pinhole button for 20 seconds and wait for the factory data reset message. Reconfigure the device after it restarts.
The unit is difficult to secure during installation
Check that the rear-cover latches are aligned before pressing the scheduler into place. For corner installations, maintain at least 10 cm of side clearance. For mullion mounting, use the wedge to create the required 7.5 mm screw-head gap and to lock the mount after it is rehung.
